I am looking for a wiring diagram for the Amana Side by Side Refrigerator/Freezer model number is SRD22S5L

If the freezer is not freezing. I am guessing that the refrigerator is not cold also. Here is link to an Amana Refrigerator Not Freezing. You will need to narrow down parts that are working and are not working. I would first pull the refrigerator out to make sure that the compressor and the condenser fan are running(the condencer fan motor runs to cool the compressor down). This is a link to a GE refrigerator condenser fan motor problem. The compressor and condenser fan motor are in the same place. This can give an idea at least where it is at. Make sure that the evaporator fan motor in the freezer is running also. Make sure that the rear freezer wall is not iced over. This can be a defrost problem. See what a defrost problem is HERE. If your unit is sitting there with the lights on but you hear no noise from any fan motor or your compressor. Your unit may be in a defrost mode. Locate your defrost timer. It looks as tho it is either located in the front behind the kick plate or in the back by the compressor. 3 or 4 unless extreme circumstances require 5 or 6. & will run it most of the time and increase your electric bill. 1 or 2 may not freeze hard enough for long term storage.

usually when the bottomof the freezer is cold and the top isn't it's the evap fan motor isn't working and all the cold air sits at the bottom.when you open the freezer door you should hear the fan running inside the freezer,also tried to look up your model but it didn't come up.open the fridge door,look up on the right and hear the cieling and you'll see a tag with the model and serial numbers,i just need the model number and i can help you better

hi. First of all, finding the model number can be a bit of a challenge. here are the places to look:

Inside the refrigerator or freezer, on the upper left or right side wall

Behind the lower crisper drawer

Behind the lower toe kick-plate

On the face frame of the refrigerator body

The doors not being shut can make it freeze up,Just thaw again and make sure the doors get shut each time and see what happens,just post back details if it doesn't work after thawing

Hi, Remove the kick plate in the front and see if there is a wiring diagram wrapped in lastic. It could be inside the control panel too.

I understand your frustration. Below are some diagrams and troublshooting aids. If you look at the exploded parts diagram link and select the Wiring Information page, you'll see the defrost timer is on the FF harness, which is the "Fresh Food" compartment.

Next, click in the "Controls" page. Item #12 is the defrost timer. It looks like it is in light assembly / cover in the fresh food compartment as it has 2 light bulbs shown - and the freezer has only 1.

the fuse for the i/m is actually in the wiring harness that plugs into the icemaker. if the model is correct the icemaker goes across the back of the freezer. when you installed the icemaker on one of the wires (i think red wire) there is a black "pill" looking thing. this is the fuse.
