Low under the steering wheel there may be an adjusting knob. If it is there are you turn it, it should adjust the height of the deck. If you lower the deck and try to turn the knob it will be difficult to turn and you will know that is what it is for, the deck lower stop. Then pull up the deck and adjust a bit and lower the deck and see where it is, repeat until satisfied with the deck height when lowered.

The routing is usually pictured on the belt cover such as in your picture. If you send me the model no. to the rider, I will verify proper routing.

place on flat level ground, remove floating wheels, open the flap on the deck height adjuster place handle all the way down, on the deck you will find a big plastic wing nut on each side loosen both of them, wiggle the deck and retighten them pull deck up replace floater wheels, close flap and use

Get the mower on a flat slab of concrete. Raise the deck all the way. Make sure the blades are on correctly. Measure the distance from each corner of the deck to ground. Lower the deck and take the same measurements. You will find, if you look, some threaded rod/bolt and/or pin settings to make adjustments. Most often the deck is out of whack as someone took it off and did not put it back on correctly. Google the mower's make and the word "'manual" if you cannot figure it out. Someone out there will provide you with a manual if you cannot figure it out from looking at it and there will be instructions in the manual as to making the adjustments.

were you mowing at the time? if you didn't disengage the blades, the engine will not start, everything will seem "dead". if that's not it, check for a blown fuse
