sorry to tell you this but that will never go always . It has a bent crankshaft usually right by the blade. It will need to be rebuilt with a new crankshaft. Oh, use can use it like it is, but your hands will fall asleep with vibration.

Clean pulleys, replace belt.

Take off your right side cover (part #9) http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/1982-honda-gl500-silver-wing-500/o/m9607#sch409523 and you will see the air intake horn on the side of the air box. Turn the cover counter clockwise and pull the air filter straight out the side of the air box. I have a Honda HRR2162TDA lawnmower and I cannot get it running. I have replaced the spark plug, the blade and the air filter and it still will not turn over.
What would be the next solution?

The cabin air filter, which is part of the AC system, is normally accessed behind the glove compartmant door.

Open the glove compartment door and GENTLY press inward on the door supports to release them. You will see a white plastic cover. Remove it. The cabin air filter is there.

The problem with other web instructions is little guidance on how exactly to remove the glove box. First, the little cover over the control am needs to be pulled off (down towards you). Either fingers or a screwdriver.

Next, trickiest part is removing the retaining tabs. See instructions here: http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/pubs/AI/AII38194.pdf

Basicaly, there is no way to ge behind the glove box to compress the release tabs. So insert a scredrver into the plastic tab cover from the insider of the glove box and just pull towards you until it pops out. When reinserting just place back (with the retainer cylinders poking back through the opening from inside the glove box) and press back in until it snaps.

On the 07 Ody, once you ave the control arm released and the two retaining tabs removed, the glove box should fold down completely. Then just press towards each other the two black end tabls holding the ac filter compartment door. Took me 30 min to figure out, hopefully with this should take you 5 ...
