Hi,

I agree with t00nz. I have purchased quite a few things from this website

http://www.uxcell.com/4gb-secure-digital-memory-card-p-6676.html

There is a 4 GB SD card available. Anyway just to let you know I have the canon PowerShot a640 - I have used a 4GB MINI sd card with the adapter & a Micro SD card (8GB) no SDHC, and they work dont know why but hey cant complain right!

Good luck to ya!

Most new 4GB and larger cards are SDHC cards (look on the card). Although they look exactly the same as a standard SD card, they are not. Unfortunately, there is no way that these cards will work with your camera, as it was designed before the SDHC format came out. As you've dsicovered, 2GB and less are standard SD cards, and will work with your camera.

There were a few standard 4GB cards produced a few years ago, most notably by ADATA (I have one that I use in my A620). Unfortunately, these are rare now, and are somewhat expensive if found on eBay.

SOURCE: My camera won't accept new 2GB SD card. Keep

Do you have pics on the internal memory? You must format the internal memory with no card in the camera. Then, format the card.

I have a SanDisk SDHC Card class 4 4 gb and it won't work in my Canon Power shot SD630, I get a memory error that says card is locked, however card is not locked, what camera canI use this card in?

The SD630 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It does not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Your SDHC card can be used in any camera that accepts SDHC cards.

I can't get the camera to accept a sd memory card. It keeps saying check sd card, but it's brand new. Why is this?

Are you using a 4GB or higher "SDHC" card with your camera? Note that the S800 can only use "standard" SD cards (those 2GB or less). Fortunately, these are very inexpensive these days, recommend checking on Amazon.
For those that encounter this problem, there are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common is trying to use a 4GB or higher SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Other causes include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be found at this link.

Card reader always says memory card error

This camera will not accept high capacity mem cards. You are limited to the 2GB size, but that is not much of a limitation since this 5 megapixel camera can be set to put more than 2,000 pictures on a 2GB chip.
Perhaps I am not understanding your question. Are you talking about the camera giving a "memory card error" message or some other device?

Bought 4gb memory card and camera says the card is unusable. The memory card is a SanDisk like what came with the camera. Why won't the camera accept it.

Wasn't the card that came with the camera 2GB or smaller? The C340 is designed to work with SD cards, 2GB and smaller. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card and will not work in the C340.

Wont accept a new 2GB memory card, its saying memory full.

Unfortunately, this camera will only accept up to a maximum of 1GB for a memory card.

So you will need to use a smaller memory card.

It's not in the documentation, but it should be.

Memory card camera wont accept just getting card error,

Please format memory card by going to camera Menu options in
DZ-BX35E and try.
If problem still exist, then memory card slot could be damaged.
Check new memory card in other camera to verify that card is OK.
