Check the water intake screen for sediment. Often if enough sediment builds up the screen becomes clogged and these symptoms present themselves.
if you send me the make/model I will tell you where the intake screen is. Probably you have to take the unit out of the cabinetry and turn it over as most of the time the intake valve is inconveniently located on the bottom of the unit.

Www.dishwasherfilter.com The problem is hard water. There is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. It filters the water before it enters your dishwasher. It works amazing and has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look after the first load. It is also very affordable (like 70 bucks). Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com to find out more info.

Testimonial: "Thank you for the info. Checked out the dishwasher filtration system's website and will be purchasing one."

Dishes not coming clean, film ring on glasses and dried grime on the utinsels. Have run through twice with vinegar, not sure what to try next. Checked basket/drain and it was not blocked just has a small...

That sounds more like a problem with your soap not disolving completly. Try these few simple things. First, run your hot tap at your sink until it gets hot, then start your dishwasher. What this will do is ensure that your "prewash" is using hot water.

The next thing, is you want to select the "heated wash" or "hi temp wash" option with a "normal wash" cycle. What the heated wash will do is ensure that during the main wash the water gets boosted to 140 degrees wich is the temperature that your soap breaks down at.

White film left on dishes is a classic indication that the soap has not disolved or broken down completly.

Soap is not disolving. Falls out of holder and stays on door and floor of washer.

Are dishes also not coming clean? Most likely, there is not enough water chruning in the tub to rinse soap out of cup during wash cycle. Sufficient wash action will wash the soap out of the cup and dissolve it in the water within a few seconds of the cup opening.

Most likely causes are:

Not enough water entering dishwasher (check level after fill... Should be slightly below bottom wash arm)

Water filling but draining during wash cycle. Check toward end of wash cycle but before drain. See if water level is diminished from start of wash cycle.

New 'water saver' dishwashers are notorious for having smaller water jets, and thus easier to stop-up jets. Check the jets on all wash arms to be sure they are cleared of food particles.

Another way to check the wash arms is to manually position them at specific locations, momentarily run the dishwasher for a few seconds, then open the door to inspect the location of the wash arms. Do this three or four times to eliminate the possibility of coincidence.

If the wash arms do not move from the location that you put them, the most likely cause is food particles stopping up the water jets. These jets not only clean the dishes but also the water pressure they generate turn the arms inside the dishwasher to properly distribute water pressure on the dishes.

Sometimes you can dislodge and remove food particles stuck in one of the jets with a toothpick or other small probe. Others require that you remove the arm(s) and get a little more creative. I use compressed air to clear mine, but not everyone has access to compressed air, so use whatever you can to remove the food particles.

Simply dislodging them from the water ports is usually not effective... As soon as water pressure is applied, the particles return to the jets and stop them up again. The real fix in this instance is to completely remove the food particles from the arm if you can.

Hope this help. Good luck.

Soap not dispensed and dishes not washed

water is getting past the gasket during the start up cycle. by the time the door opens, the water has caked up the soap. also, its not clear when in the cycle the door is opening.
try using liquid soap.
also, take a peek just after the machine has finished filling and starts washing to see if the door is opened on the soap disp.
good luck

Dihes not clean

Run the unit with no soap, after about 5 min. of run time open door and check to see if water is clear or soapy,If soapy then you are having an oversudsng issue. When your washer gets to rinse cycle, your unit (if oversuding),will be rinsing with soapy water and the the drying cycle bakes the soap on dishes. You might be having a white film on your clear glasses.Cut down on soap especially if you have soft water.powder soap is best.Your dishwasher will fill , wash , the drain. Its what you put into it that will cause dishes not become clean.
