Starting from the start, make sure the valve behind the fridge is open. then make sure when you disconnect the tube from the intake of the refrigerator, that water comes out. Then check the intake filter on the fridge for debris. Then defrost the freezer in case the intake line froze. If you still have no water going into the ice maker, the valve is probably bad. If you post the make/model and go through those steps I'll help you take the Icemaker apart...

GE model GTS22KCMBRBB. Icemaker doesn't fill entirely, small cubes are produced and ejected all over freezer. Now leaking water from back of refrigerator where water line enters icemaker.

Refrigerator Leaking From Icemaker
If it's leaking from inside the freezer then it's coming from the icemaker or the drain. Lets start with the icemaker. If it's the icemaker there will likely be an ice hanging from the icemaker or just a big block of ice in the ice bin. In any case, it will be obvious.
There are a few reasons this will happen: one is the icemaker will stop turning when it gets to the fill cycle. This will happen when the gears in the icemaker break. On GE icemakers that were made before the year 2000, you can see the gears by taking off the cover on the front of the icemaker. However, if the small gear is broke you can't buy it as far as I know. I have been taking them off of junk icemakers for years. So this part may be hard to find. But if the big gear is broke replace it. Another reason icemakers leak is the fill tube is stopped up and I already discussed this earlier (replace water valve and clean out tube).
Another reason icemakers leak is that the water comes in too fast so it over fills the first cube mold. When this happens you will get a few drops of water when it fills. To fix this you have to take the icemaker out and remove the piece on the side of the icemaker. I don't know the name of it so for this we'll call it cube separator because that's what it does (most of them just snap off others have a screws). Now take silicone (RTV) and put a small amount around the first cube mold only under the cube separator. Now reinstall the cube separator and wipe off excess silicone and it shouldn't leak anymore.
Another reason that icemakers leak is that the refrigerator water valve sticks after the icemaker goes out of the fill cycle. When this happens the valve stays on and the icemaker keeps on turning, in which case, replace the refrigerator water valve.

My lg refrigerator lsxs26326 is dispensing water but not filling ice tray up. What could be wrong?

the water solenoid valve for the water dispenser is separate from the icemaker water supply solenoid valve . get to the icemaker water supply solenoid and test it if it works alright . unplug the fridge from wall outlet do not close water supply valve. disconnect water tube connection on the water discharge side of the icemaker water supply solenoid valve . pull - out power supply connection of the solenoid coil . connect solenoid valve directly to wall outlet. a faint click should be audible and water should come out from where the tube was removed -- from the water supply discharge side. if no water is coming out with the solenoid plug in , then the solenoid is faulty. but if water comes while solenoid is powered -on , check the position of the icemaker lever. if it is on off position icemaker timer won't activate icemaker water supply valve..move icemaker lever to on and check for water pouring into the icemaker tray' if no water comes out . change the icemaker timer. thanks.

Water keeps running in the ice maker I replaced the pump and is still doing it

It sounds like your electronic water valve is just stuck open and will need to be replaced, or you could have an icemaker stuck in the fill mode calling for water all the time.
The best way to determine which part is faulty is to just remove the screws mounting the icemaker and then disconnect the wire connection to the icemaker. Turn the water back on and if water still keeps coming in, then you need a new electronic water valve, otherwise just replace the icemaker itself.

My side by side refrigerator is making a buzzing noise from the ice maker area every few minutes

Hello,
That sound you here is the icemaker calling for water to fill the icemaker but not water into refrig to fill icemaker. If you have no water connected to icemaker, lift up and lock arm into place to turn off icemaker,if you do have water line connected but no ice is being made need to see why water from house plumbing is not coming into the refrig.

Ice cubes stick together as though too much water is coming into tray. Is there a valve or something to control amount of water coming in?

yes their is a water valve , 2 things it could be your valve or you i/m. the i/m tells the water valve to fill for about 6-9 seconds if the icemaker is bad it could be telling it to fill for 10 seconds instead of the normal time and overflow the icemaker ,or the water valve also called solenoid could be bad and at not stopping at the desighned time. i dont have your model # to go much furthur but you can remove the cover in the front of the icemaker and see if you see an icemaker water level adjustment screw, newer ge and frigidaire ref. cannot be adjusted, however wpl, maytag, and older ge ref can be and older frg.try adjusting water level at icemaker first .

All water underneath.ice in the bottom.freezer working.not making

If I understand you correctly your water line that comes through the back wall of the freezer and into the icemaker is frozen. If so you have a bad water valve. When the valve goes bad it will not seal off the water. It will seep causing a slow drip where the water comes out at you icemaker. It'd slow enough to freez causing a ice blockage. This will not allow water to come through and fill your icemaker when it calls for water.

ICE MAKER QUIT MAKING ICE ON MY WHIRLPOOL FRIDGE

I had a Whirlpool Model GD5SHAXNS in which the icemaker quit working about the same time (3 years old). I had water out the dispenser, I found that it was the icemaker itself failed not calling for water to fill it. I replaced it with a icemaker on-line for about $100 and problem fixed. I have been told his is a common problem with the icemaker in this model ref.

Icemaker Kenmore

You either have low water pressure to the fridge or fridge water valve is not completely closing causing water to constantly drip through fill tube, Do you have a side by side? if so does water come out steady through the door?
