Gettin an EE2 error - replaced the fule filter at the tank, removed and cleaned the sump screen, no luck. Does the sump screen on this stove fit into the sump with the open aspect of the screen facing the back of the stove (toward the incoming fule line)?

Has this unit been serviced. Sounds like the Flame Sensor is dirty and not sensing flame OR this actually isn't any flame due to an ignitor or fuel issue. Here is a complete explanation and diagnosis of the EE2 problem: Toyostove Error Code EE2

There are several possibilities. You said you have plenty of fuel, but is it getting to the fuel sump. If the pump makes a loud ticking or thumping sound, it is not getting fuel to it. You may need to vent your filter to remove an air bubble. The heater also has a strainer inside the fuel sump that may need to be cleaned. Refer to the owner's manual for instructions for that. The fuel sump also has a reset button that releases the fuel float that may need to be pressed. The fuel nozzle sometimes gets clogged with carbon. You can remove the fuel line and insert a piece of wire (stiff wire) into the nozzle about 1-2 inches to remove it. Another problem may be a dirty flame sensor. You can clean it with steelwool. Since you say it lit I wouldn't suspect the igniter is bad. Also remove the top from the fuel sump clean the sump if necessary.

With an EE2 message you have a problem with the stove igniting during start up. If you continue to try you will end up with an EE22 and the stove will be locked out. If so, un plug for 20 minutes. While you are waiting check out you fuel system. Low fuel, no fuel, dirty filter on tank and stove. Be sure to bled the air off the top of the filter when you change it.

If it was stored with ethanol fuel on board your hoses may have holes or cracks as well. Inspect them carefully. It sounds as if there is a fuel delivery problem. Check the fuel filter on the free end of a hose in fuel tank (manufacturer recommends an annual replacement). Check all fuel delivery lines especially at fittings and bends for cracks and holes. If those are good then the likely cause is internal parts of the carburetor are dirty or have failed. HTH

Try not to add to much. It will explode in your unit.

You might of got type 2 fuel oil. If it is a smaller tank sometimes the fueler doesn't clear the line before filling and you'll slug down some type2 which will snuff the flame.
Check to see if the filler kinked a line outside while filling.

it sounds like it may be a clogged strainer located in fuel sump or a bad circuit board hope this helps

The firing sequence for a L73 is blink, blink, blink, on the green burner light, then it clicks up to the medium, amber or yellow light...that's when the pump kicks on. If you hear click, click, click, or thump, thump, thump, that means the pump is starving for fuel. The problem is from the carburaot/sump back to the fuel tank. You may have icing in your line or a line restriction, no fuel, plugged fuel filter or plugged sump screen. You can thaw your fuel line, until you have a free flow of fuel and then push the red restart button on top of the sump. Try to restart your Toyo.

If you follow the firing sequence and hear no click, click, click or thump , thump, thump and your Toyo goes off on EE2 then you can have a dirty flame sensor...the whilte wire running to a U shaped part that is the ground for the entire unit. You can take ythe ytwo phillips screws out, turn the part to the side and wiggle it out. Clean it qith a green scrubby or sandpaper and put it back in. Be sure it points stright down. Then take out the igniter which are the red wires. Put a long screw driver in there and rattle it around real good. You are trying to shake any carbon cxhains off the burner ring that can be "shorting" the flame sensor. You can also removee the 1/2 inch flare nut from the fuel nozzle...brass yellow colored metal part, and put a paper clip or wire down that about 3 inches. That will clear any blockage in front or inside it. Put everything back together, hit the red reset button on the sump and re-fire your Toyo. You might get it going in this manner. If not, you may need a tuneup because your Toyo is too sooted up to run correctly. Try these things and post back!

EE2 Means only one thing. The flame rod is not detecting a flame.
The cause could be anything that prevents a flame.
1) no fuel
a) out of fuel - check tank
b) clogged line - clean
c) clogged filter (either on tank or screen in stove) -clean
d) igniter not working- replace
e) dirty flame rod (clean, then determine why it's dirty or it will happen again)
those are the quick fixes other than that contact the dealer you bought it from.

My business is Laser Heating Service in the North Pole/Fairbanks areas of Alaska. An EE2 error code is usually fuel related. What does your Toyo do before the EE2 code shows up? The firing process is the burner button blinks green for 7-9 minutes, then it clicks up to the medium, yellow light which starts flashing. That is when the fuel pump starts pumping. If you hear a fairly audible tic tic, or thump thump coming from the fuel pump then that is your indication that the fuel pump is starving for fuel. You either have a fuel line restriction, too little fuel, a clogged filter, a clogged sump screen, or rarely, a failing fuel pump. Usually, it is a fuel line restriction.

If you hear no tic tic or thump thump and it just goes off on EE2 then the problem is in the burn chamber. You may have a carbon chain in the chamber causing the flame sensor to temporarily short out. You can clean the flame sensor, fuel nozzle, and igniter to resolve this problem until you can get your Toyo tuned up.
