Hello sir i m using Samsung guru E1410....... it's a very nice phone battery backup is very good but sir i m having one problem , while making any call or receiving any call ... my receiver speaker sound...

Hello and Welcome to fixYa!

Software End Possibilities:
It happens some times that due to some unknown reasons, the voice is reduced to a low range in order to protect the speaker from getting damage... Try checking the voice/ear piece volume settings and if the problem still persists..Try resetting the handset to FACTORY DEFAULTS ( Do make sure to back up your personal data before doing so).
Hardware End Possibilities:
If the handset is ever repaired or is in use for a long time, there are possibilities that the ear piece might had dust particles trapped on its diaphragm or even physical contacts may be disturbed.. Check for the dust particles and proper physical contacts....

Have a Nice day,

Can not rec a dial tone, phone states no link to base move closer

If “No link to base. Move closer to base, try again.” is displayed
even when using the handset near the base unit, the handset may have lost communication with the base unit. You need to re-register the handset to the base unit.
• Make sure the base unit is not being used.
• Have both handsets and base unit nearby during registration.
• Follow steps 1–3 listed below. You have about 1 minute to complete them.
• Confirm the extension number of the handset which has lost the communication by placing the handset on the base unit or charger.
If you re-register the handset using the other handset’s extension number, the other handset will not function.
• If the handset beeps 3 times and “Error!!” is displayed, an error occurred. Try again from step 1.
• You can stop registration by pressing [OFF] on the handset, and pressing [LOCATOR/INTERCOM] on the base unit.

1 Base unit: Press and hold [LOCATOR/INTERCOM] until a beep sounds.
• The CHARGE indicator flashes.

2 Base unit: Press the extension number [1] (handset symbol 1 ) or [2] (handset symbol 2) of the
handset which has lost the communication.

3 Handset: Press and hold [FLASH/CALL WAIT] until “Handset Registering” is displayed.
• When registration is complete, a beep sounds from the handset and the display shows the number.
• Wait for 20 seconds after registration is complete while the handset establishes communication with the base unit.

• If the handset beeps 3 times and “Error!!” is displayed, an error occurred. Try again from step 1.
• You can stop registration by pressing [OFF] on the handset, and pressing [LOCATOR/INTERCOM] on the base unit.

Have just bought a second hand BT mango telephone with 2 extra handsets. There doesn't appear to be anywhere to connect the phone wire to handsets 2 and 3. Only a socket for the power supply. Is this right?

There isnt a socket to connect the additional handsets because it is not needed. The handsets all use a single line by connecting to the base unit. You need to make sure the additional handsets are registered to the base unit.

For how to do this and anything else look in the manual which can be downloaded for free at http://phone.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/british_communications_bt/bt_mango_1_2.html

Can I use handsets from another DCT 748 unit to expand my DCT 748

Short answer:
No. This model of phone can only support 4 handsets. If you need more than that, you will need to have a second base unit.

Detailed answer:
One of my handsets went bad, and I just bought complete DCT748-4 package from a seller on eBay for a very good price. This set was used, but in very good condition. I didn't need the whole set - just one handset - but like I said, it was a good price. Anyway, I began by telling my old base unit to de-register handset #2 (the failed unit). However, I then found that I could not register the "new" handset with my old base unit because it was already registered to the "new" base unit. So, I first had to apply power to the "new" base unit and de-register the handsets. Then, I placed one of the "new" handsets onto my old base unit, and it said "Handset Registering ..." and registered just fine. Just for the fun of it, I placed one of the other spare handsets into my old base unit. It said "Hanset Registering ..." but then it beeped and said "Registration Failed." This is because I already had 4 handsets registered to my base, and the base can not handle a fifth handset.

Programming old handsets to a new base

Cancel the old handsets registration at the previous base unit if desired.
For additional handsets, you must register each of them at the new base unit. Only one handset can be registered at a time. A handset will be assigned anextension number at registration.

Make sure the base unit and the other handsets are not being used. Program the same way as the extra handset you bought.

Registration must be completed within 1 minute.

CALLER ID ONLY SHOWS "INCOMING CALL"

I was using this site while trouble shooting this in the US...
If the customer has DSL with filters in the same system go back to the NID and Isolate the DSL,
test the caller id and call waiting caller id. If this works you have Data Bleed coming from the DSL.
Make sure there are not two sets of filters on the line. Tjis customer had a filter with the DSL modem.

Doing this we just fixed an on going problem for a field tech who was the second callout on a customer issue.
