I have a Xerox 8400 with an error code 37,063.45 and says it requires service. Can someone tell me what this error code means before I have to pack this 50 lb printer in for service? :-)

Thank you.

37,063.45 The Power Supply high switch not activated. Electrical short or missing reset line.

This is what the code means.
Seems like a service call is the proper step.

Error code 13.387.48:106521 Phaser 8400 Print Count 110,000 Can this be Fixed

It can be fixed, but only by a Xerox authorised service centre. Xerox website tells you to turn it off and book it in for a service. Be prepared to pay a call out fee before hand. Here's the reference link for your error from Xerox website.

What is the Xerox Phaser 8400 printer error code 07.010.43:43923? Much appreciated. Thank you.

Try this:

The printer has encountered an error state without the benefit of a code. Turn the printer off for 30 seconds, then power back on.
If the Printer Error message returns, press the i button on the printer's front panel. The actual error or fault number should be displayed. Note the error or message and search the knowledge base for the error.

Also:

Based on the problem description provided, we have determined that your printer needs service.
Please turn your printer off and use one of the methods below to make arrangements for service:
If using the local service provider website, please perform the following steps:

  1. Enter your zip code in the space provided.

  2. Choose a mileage distance. The search will locate a Service Provider within the specified range if available.

Hi there, Im getting an error code: 07,010.43:48669 on my printer, can you maybe help? Error occurs @ 5% warm up. Id also like to know if you perhaps have the schematics and a service manual? Thank...

The most common thing that causes this issue is the drum maintanance cam and or DM pivot plate. I would check the cam like it discribes and also make sure the pivot plate isnt cracked. But really the service not gives you a list of what all needs to be check.
The Xerox website says to take it in to a service center: http://www.support.xerox.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?St=121,E=0000000002388339860,K=7746,Sxi=4,Case=obj(21655)
And here is a link to the documentation http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-8400/documentation/enus.html

Xerox Phaser 8400 error

When you power on the unit it goes through a series of tests to determine that the correct voltage is going to each system within the phaser. The error code you've provided implies a Preheater error 37,008.44
AC power supplied by power sources such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) or DC-to-AC inverter systems may not supply correct voltage to properly power up the printer. Likewise, other devices sharing the same AC circuit can cause AC voltage sags that cause the printer to fail its AC heater PEST tests (Print Engine Self Test).
My first suggestion is to remove any other devices from the electrical outlet the printer is on, and then power it on.
If the error persists, you've got a hardware failure internally and would need to replace the preheater and deskkew assembley, Xerox PN 119641980
By the way, the last 4 digits in your error code are the current page count of your printer. This number is relatively low and thus it begs the question is the printer still under warranty? The part in question is about $110, however installing it will not be an easy task if you've never taken a Phaser 8400 apart or you do not have a service manual.
My suggestion, if the machine is out of warranty, is that you bring it to a qualified repair technician for service, unless you feel comfortable doing the repair yourself.
best of luck in any regard

Phaser 8400 error code 37,016,43:7052

From the service manual:

37,016.4x - PEST_FAULT_HM_CLUTCH_DISCONNECT
PEST - Head maintenance clutch disconnect. The head maintenance clutch is not
drawing the expected power from the supply.
1. Run the Head Maintenance Clutch test.
2. Check the Head Maintenance Clutch wiring.
3. Disconnect the Wave Amp signal cable from the left
side of the Electronics Module. If the error code
changes, replace the Wave Amp.
4. Replace the head maintenance clutch.

I have the full service manual available should you need it. Thanks and please take a moment to rate this solution as fixya.

Xerox phaser 8400 error

That is a print head tilt error. Either the print head pivot block is contaminated with ink or the wiper blade is tacked to the print head.
Let me know if you want to try to resolve it yourself, I will send you directions.

Phaser 8400 error code

That is related to the print head heating. Normally one of the print head heaters fails which requires replacement of the print head. The other item I have seen fail and cause that code is the electronics module. Both are very expensive.
