Whirlpool Hood Combination model MH3184XP keeps beeping and running the power setting down in sequence from 10 to 1 then starts over again. Cannot get it to stop unless you unplug it. Once you plug it back in you can get it to work 1 time then it starts it's beeping with the power count down.

There are 3 fuses in that microwave. I had a similar issue. The one that I had to replace was the little ceramic fuse that is in line after the big fuse which is connected to the main line.
I couldn't find the ceramic fuse but I replaced it was a glass one about a year ago and it has been working since then. The fuse if located on the right front panel.

Ours just started doing this exact same thing this past Friday - 12/11/09. What's going on? The cook power just starts beeping all by itself and going from 10 down to 1 over and over again. It may stop momentarily, but then starts again within a minute or so - it's constant until we unplug it. We plug it back in and within a few minutes it starts doing it again. What gives?
