You can clean the outside with warm soapy water and dry off with a clean cloth. The filters inside can be replaced for new ones.

Atlantic azurea 100T - extractor fan - how do I adjust how long it stays on, I have one that the previous owners of my home put in and it stays on all the time. Please let me know! Thanks, Laura

Hi Laura,

There are many auto timer enabled extractor fan's available in the market but it could cost you more, therefore I would recommend an alternate solution for you.

All you need to do is replace your fan's switch with an auto timer.
For e.g. An auto timer which will switch off your fan after the desired time automatically.

Examples of an auto timers can be found on these links :- http://bit.ly/kUNC4x

http://bit.ly/kJPprC

So when the timer goes off , the fan stops by itself , and you don't have to worry about it any more.

Or you can get a new extractor fan with timer as well , check out an example in this link :- http://amzn.to/jybLfl

If you want to know how to install a bathroom timer switch , please follow this link :- http://bit.ly/lN7p67

Hope this helps ..:) Your feed back would be appreciated , let me know in case you have any queries.

I have moved into a property with a Sector extractor fan in the bathroom - when you turn the light on the extractor starts up -when you turn the light off the extractor continues to run for a long time -...

On some Bathroom extractor fans there is a setting for the amount of time you want the fan to stay on after you turn off the switch, the setting dial is normally at the back of the fan so you need to take the fan down from the ceiling making sure the fan is electrically isolated.

My bathroom fan will not turn itself off, it is connected to the bathroom light, light is turned off but fan goes continuiously??????

Then it is not connected to the light switch as you think. This could be a dangerous situation, and you should have an experienced electrician look at it.

My Bathroom Extractor Fan does not work properly and for some reason the bathroom smells of cigarette smoke when the upstairs neighbours are at home!! Our landlord say's this is not possible!!!

Yes, very possible!. The bathroom fan is connected together, and the upstairs one is down-drafting to you. Have the exhaust checked for blockage, or buy a fan that has a built-in damper that closes the exit when not in use.

My extractor fan is leaking a lot of water, it is nothing to do with the weather as it happens when it is not raining. The extractor fan was working but now has stopped

sounds like
the extractor is mounted in a cold space, and the moist air is condensing on the cold fan as it exits,
the fan housing may need better insulation, and the flap valve in the exhaust pipe needs to be checked to ensure it is closing, and keeping cold air out
it is possible that condensate in the fan has fried the motor

something to check

Wireing a bathroom extractor fan to a three switch (fan=landing light=offswitch0

yes, if the three switches are all made together, then there is only one feed. sounds like a bad switch, or possibly bad exhaust fan. check voltage at fan with switch on, if not qualified, be careful, or call an electrician
