On this Avanti d-110 dryer.. they say you don't vent it to the outside.. but there is too much heat and lint escaping in the air.. and it gets too hot .. can we still vent this unit to a window vent using the silver duct attached to the vent on the back if the dryer? On this Avanti d-110 dryer.. they say you don't vent it to the outside.. but there is too much heat and lint escaping in the air.. and it gets too hot .. can we still vent this unit to a window vent using the silver duct attached to the vent on the back if the dryer?

This sounds like more than one issue. The drum has a bearing on it and also some guides at the front. When they wear out you get a rubbing or whining sound. It could also be the pulley or tensioner on the drum belt.. The long time to dry is probably due to the heating element failing, They are like light bulbs and they burn out
Firstly, I'm not going to ask how you know what a moose in heat groans like!
secondly, more on topic ( ?? ) those sort of noises are normally either the drum bearing or belt drive. Remove the back panel and rotate drum by hand, you should be able to listen to where the fault is.
You broughtke the belt of drum wont turn you might take the dryer apart to make sure the idler pulley is spinning free also. They sometimes get tight and burn the belt up.
Hi renfrorichte...
I would use fibreglass window screen cut to the size needed.
Bonded with a good glue such as 3M's Weather Proof Adhesive or Contact cement.
