The oven would not turn off, but now it turns on

The oven would not turn off, so I turned off the circuit breaker. When I turned it back on, all the controls work, but it does not get hot.

This sounds like a problem with the control board. If you want to email me the full model number maybe I can help you diagnose it further.

SOURCE: Wall Oven No Power

yes the oven thermal fuse blew when the fan went off its also called a tco switch if you pull out the oven and take the top off there will be a tech sheet there that will give the location of the tco some are on top some are on back this can also happen if the oven is too tight in the cabinet not enough room around it to let the heat dissipate its a round metal disc with two wires on it

SOURCE: i turned off the circuit

is it just a pf error or something with another E or F error code after it as well? first try clearing the display and reseting the clock after this try holding cancel for 10 seconds and also try unplugging the unit then repluggingt after wards as a last step and then holding the cancel once again for ten seconds couple other things on the subject but need to know if you are seeing any other codes please message me back after you have performed these steps and we can go through if you do have any other error codes afterwards as well as check on if your oven needs any parts replaced as well Thanks again Rick
p.s if these steps do not work im seeing a couple repairs as to control board as well as replaceing part of the spark system aka thermite bead but would need to know if you have any further error codes showing

Why will my hotpoint double oven will not turn on how do I reset the clock?

check breaker and plugs ---if good and still have no power to controls turn off breaker for a few minutes and turn back on if still no power to control-- damage to an internal circuit which will require a repair person to diagnose

Why won't my double oven lights or power go on?

I think it would be a good idea to find the electric box and then:
1) find the circuit breaker or fuse that controls the oven.
That information is supposed to be written on the inside of the door of the electrical box.
2) Turn off the circuit breaker, or remove the fuse that is supposed to be the one.
3) Pull the oven out from it's place and try to get behind it to test (with an ohm meter or a multi-meter) and see if the unit is getting electricity at all.
Obviously, you will need to turn the breaker back on or screw in the fuse.
BE CAREFUL, THIS IS DANGEROUS STUFF YOU ARE DOING.
Sounds like you may need to reset the circuit breaker ( that means to turn it off and on a few times) or to replace the fuse.
God bless you in your efforts.

The power went off, when it came back on the oven time displayed. when we tried to turn on the oven the message feature not available came on

First try this: In your Household Circuit Panel, Turn the Circuit Breaker to the off position. Wait 30 Seconds and then turn it back on. Try to turn the oven on if it comes on you are in luck, if not look in your manual for first time set up instructions like setting the clock date and time, and go through the settings. Then try the oven again. If it comes on you are in luck.

My oven is dead - no display, no nothing. Circuit breakers are fine. Turned them off overnight, still nothing on oven this morning. This happened about a year ago but oven came on again ten minutes...

What you need to check is for power at the clock.TURN OFF BREAKER gain access to clock and use volt meter. One the clock will be wires maked L1 & N on those 2 wires when breaker is turned back on their should be 120 vac. IF 120 vac at those 2 wires, replace the clock, if not 120 vac into clock check for burnt/broken wires

We set our wall oven for self-clean and received an error message after about 4 hours that told us to turn off the circuit breaker. We are unable to turn the circuit breaker back on again.

Hi,
If you cannot turn the breaker back on then it is no good...some breakers do take some very firm effort to get them to come on...but the oven may have ruined the circuit breaker...

Burners won't turn on

first this i would check is the  circuit breaker in the house, stoves work off of a 220v dual breaker. one breaker may have tripped. the oven may still work but the burners will not.
