Can't hear voice of singer on speakers, more of an echo sound

Hi, I just purchased the Bose 3 companion speakers and I hear music well, however, I do not hear the singer's voice well. It appears to be more of an echo I hear vs. their voice. Can you help?

    HELP!

I have almost the same problem. I have an Acer Aspier 7003WSMi and its always worked brilliantly! Its only a year old! My little brother popped around the other day and wanted to check something so I let him use it. Now all of a sudden when I try and play music I can hear the music but there's an echoey quality to it. And I can't hear the singer at all.. Just sort of a really distant wail =S!

I don't know what the hell he has done and he denies all knowledge of the problem. I have gone into control panel and checked all the sound settings etc and it all looks absolutely fine to me =S

Can anybody tell me what he has done and what I need to do to make it right!!!!!!

    PLEASE HELP!

Hello Shemon
Well, there is 2 option here, 1) your sound speakers are not connected corretly or in the right slots on the sound card.
2) your sound card, (internal or external) you have to use the mixer on software to put the right channels for the music you heard. try configuring in control panel, in multimedia devices, the speakers. for 5.1 system, or 2 way speakers or 3
try again

SOURCE: Can't hear voice of singer on speakers, more of an echo sound

An old trick to remove vocals from a song was to rip the right channel, then the left, the combine them (since vocals are typically mixed in a third 'center' channel, though things like reverb or echo are applied to the right and/or left channels which sounds like what you are hearing).

I would play with the balance and mixer settings and see if you can get the vocals back. Also try other speakers or even headphones and see if you have the same problem.

Hope this helps!

Hi _ I got a new set of Bose Companion 5 - is working fine with my PC Windows Xp service pac II. suddenly the speakers go off wehile playing music & I have to restart the comp to hear music ?? Cant...

Try another set of speakers to eleiminate the BOSE speakers as being the issue (even cheap ones will do). If the problem does not re-occur, the issue is with the speakers.
If all the speaker jacks are plugged in correctly, I would consider returning this set, as it looks like the issue is within the circuitry of the Woofer

My music from my computer speakers sounds like it is in a cave, music is fine but can hardly hear the singer. How can I fix this?

You might have mistakenly changed the Equalizer Presets in Volume Control Panel on Tray ICON which is located near to Date & Time (Right Bottom Corner of the Screen). change the presets to Rock/Pop you can get clear output of your choice.

Bose Companion 3 series II speakers aren't producing sound (imac)

from what I've read, the imac has a 3.5mm (.138) jack while the Bose jack is 1/8 (.125). very small difference in size (.013), but enough to cause problems.

System echos when dvd is in. When I mute the Bose sytem I can hear the TV sound without the echo.

The echo you hear is the audio delay between your TV speakers and Bose speakers. Muting (or lowering the volume) on the TV will eliminate the echo. Some TVs have a setting to turn of TV speakers entirely, allowing you to listen to your TVs audio strictly through your Bose system.
