Printer keeps flashing wrong cartridge with correct cartridges

Printer keeps flashing wrong cartridge and will not allow printing. I have taken all of the current cartridges out and replaced all four with new, but I still get the same error message. I have disconnected the power source and turned in off in hopes it would re-start correctly, however I still receive the same error message. Can any one give me some direction on how to solve this problem. Thanks Pamela

Make sure all in correct. Clean sensors and cartridges then delete and reload driver. if this does not correct issue, then you have a faulty cartridge

I keep getting error message wrong cartridge on my canon image class mp700 printer. I have taken the cartridges out and the message is still flashing. Have uninstalled the soft ware and reinstalled it....

Try cleaning the printhead and the area inside the print where the print head connects. Use folded tissue soaked in a bit f methylated spirit. If this still doesn't work, then it most certain that the cartridges have become incompatible and have to be replaced. Cartridges becoming incompatible is usual, sometimes resulting from expiration. If replaced with original cartridges the issue should be resolved

Good luck & God bless!

How do i get to the ink cartrage when i need to replace it

The steps to removing the ink cartridge and replacing it are rather simple. Keep in mind; however, if these steps are not done properly, there are a number of errors that could occur that could keep your printer from printing at all.

The first step is to write down the printer name and brand.

Remove the empty cartridge with care while taking care not to cause any damage to the printer.

If the user already has a replacement cartridge in his possession, then he simply opens the printer's lid while the printer is still on.

Opening the printer's lid when switched on will cause the printer cartridge seats to move into place, allowing the user to remove or reinstall cartridges.

Remove the cartridge with care then replace it with the new cartridge. Close the lid and print a test page.

The one thing to always keep in mind when changing the cartridge is to handle the cartridges with care.

If the user's ink cartridge has a print head, the user must use extra precautions to ensure that no contact is made with it.

If the cartridge has a seal at the bottom, care must be taken not to break the seal.

I have installed 2 new ink cartridges. The orange

Are the cartridges genuine new hp, or are they compatibles, or refills? If not genuine hp, get some and see if that solves your problem.

Error message wrong cartridge

its not a true fix but I had the same issue. I turned off printer and slightly moved the paper thickness lever over a few inches. I turned it back on and the cartridge error was off. I do get a pop up from my printer program on the computer every time I initiate a print job asking to correct the lever, I click OK and it prints. I know its aRube Goldberg fix but I need this printer every day for work and for now it works.

Wrong cartridge?

Doubled check the cartridge numbers and that they match what is on the printer. If no match get correct ones.

Wrong cartridge

I have the multipass mp700 and have just experienced the same message ..... wrong cartridge. After reading the manual, from the disc, it means that there's something wrong with the print head, most likely needs cleaning, but it won't clean because the printer is sending a malfunction message. I will be trying to clean the head and if that doesn't fix it then I'll buy a new print head. Good luck with the problem.
