Olevia 437-s11 replaced power supply, main board, and switch board. Blue light on front turns on but the tv won't power up..... I have the back off the tv so I can see one LED lit up on the main board. any help?
When I first power the switch in the back, I see the LEDs flash on the main brd as well on the master inverter brd. There also seems to be a flicker of the backlight... I would assume that it is a self test. Do you think it would be the master inverter brd, slave, or the back light itself? When I first power the switch in the back, I see the LEDs flash on the main brd as well on the master inverter brd. Two things, assuming you installed a working power supply and main board, check to make sure the kill switch is in the "On" position. If my memory serves me correctly, this set does have one. Are you sure you have a working outlet? power cord? When you say the set won't turn on , are you referring to the entire set or just the screen?
tried to connect again the supply for main board and disconnect the supply for the inverter board of back light. and turn on the tv, if the indicator stay the inventer board was the cause of voltage drop at the power supply board.
thats almost always going to be a power supply issue, You should be able to get a replacement power supply from www.tvrepairworld.com they have many which arent listed so calling them is the best bet if you dont see your board listed.
I just repaired this identical problem on the same model TV. You have a bad power supply (also known as an SMPS). The board is model FSP271-4F02, and is about $75. Unlike the main board for this TV, you can find the power board relatively easily. Try shopjimmy, for example. Replacing the board isn't too difficult if you have a reasonable mechanical ability, have some tools, and are careful.
It's not a firmware update, you do have a problem with the main board giving the power supply an ON command. Please have it looked at by a qualified technician.
do you get a blue light on ? if you do that means you have power so..it could be the main-board is bad on the television. But if you have no blue light on the front of the television then you have no power. You could try switching the power switch on the back of the television several times and see if you get any type of blue light on the front of the tv. If you don't then try connecting the power cord to a power strip or straight to the wall.. if you still don't get power try disconnecting the power cord from the television overnight and then plug it back in and see if you get any sign of power.. if still no sign of power then the television power supply is bad and will need to be replace or repair..

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
