I have a Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer Model #MAH4000AWW. It seems to work fine, except it has started to sound like a jet engine during the last spin cycle. The clothes spin almost dry. Second problem is when it sits idle overnight, the tub will almost fill with water.
Two problems here,
your shaft seal is running on its last leg
the sound is unmistakeable and always described the same...
the water issue, you probably have a trickle leak through the cold water valve
the mixing valve is quite an easy repair, but I would have to say with all honesty, it probably time for a new machine
the hub seal is a tub replacment call
2 hrs of labor if hes good
and the tub runs around 500.00 dollars
sory for the bad news
Have a Magtag Front Load Model mah5500bww. When we start the
cycle on regular cycle / hot/cold the cold valve opens fro approximately 11
seconds then all of a sudden it sounds like the hot water valve opens but I
hear a bang and nothing. We don't get ant hot water. If I set the washer back
to cold/cold the water comes back on. I just replaced the water valves. What
could be the problem?
