I plugged the Sansa View MP3 into the USB port and it says "connected" - does that mean the battery is charging? And when it's completely charged, will it tell me? About how long does this take?

If it's charging it's taking for ever. I have tried it both with the MP3 on and off leaving it over night and it does not charge. I don't know if it's your battery or charger, but Amazon is very good
with customer support. Have you called their customer support?
The number is: 866-216 1072
this indicates that the wrong charger was used for the battery type
it is a result of too fast a charge or the wrong charge (metal hydrox batteries against nicad batteries )
The same thing happened to me you have to take it back to LG and tell them to replace your battery or buy it from Radioshack. At&T gives cheap batterys.
I have the same problem. The battery is charged, but the camcorder will only work while plugged in. It worked for a while on the 1st day, Christmas, then it would only turn on while plugged into the charger and would stay on after charger was disconnected. Today it will only stay on if plugged into charger.
I'll give it a try. Thank you very much and Happy Holidays.
