Extra fine quality screw driver set is what you need. they come with a variety of small flat head and X heads...Make sure the driver is not too small for the head of the screw so you don't strip it out when unscrewing!

Hope this helped!

What size screw driver or Hex Key do you need to re-attach the needle clamp on a designer Diamond Viking sewing machine?

The answer is the tool that fits. You buy a set like this and you have a set that can undo all small screw fittings. They have normal screw slot, Philips, Posi drive, Hex, Torx the lot. I use mine a lot!

How do I change a broken needle?

You need to tell us make and model when you post a question for us to give you a really good answer.

Here the generic way to replace a needle:
  1. Raise the needle fully.
  2. Look for a thumb-screw right where the needle joins the needle mechanism.
  3. Loosen the thumb-screw and catch the broken needle when it falls out.
  4. Put a new needle in the place occupied by the broken needle. Be sure the flat side of the needle is away from you.
  5. Tighten the thumb-screw.

The screw on the needle bar is broken can't get the needle out the screw broke flush to the needle bar . what do I do.

hi
it's easy don't worry about that , just try to move needle to left and right before start to remove broken scrw, you can catch needle by and spanner. second after removed needle by pull it down ( it's not so easy to remove but try also by spanner. just bring any needle with thick size ( 18 or 23 ) and try slowly move the broken scrw to counterclockwise direction . it will takes long time but at final broken scrw will out of needle bar.

How do I change a needle on my husqvana 905 overlocker

Each needle has a small set screw holding it in place. Just above the needle from the front you can loosen the needle by using a T6 (Tork 6) screw driver (if you don't have the original tool that came with the serger) to loosen the needle. Before loosing the screw, I would put a piece of fabric or paper over the needle plate to catch the needle (or part) to keep it from falling in the machine. Turn the screw counter clockwise (to the left) to loosen. Insert the new needle and tighten. It's not necessary to remove the screw entirely, just loosen it and the needle usually just falls out.

Good luck.

I need to replace the needle

There is a thumb screw by the needle. Just unscrew it enough to be able to remove the needle by pulling straight down. You may need a small screw driver. HOWEVER, when you take the needle out, by pulling it down, notice where the FLAT SIDE IS It may face backwards or forwards, but it is important that the new needle is inserted this same way. Push the new needle up into the opening where the old needle came out, making sure it is pushed all the way up. You may need to unscrew the thumb screw a bit more to facilitate insertion. Jiggle the needle while pushing it up into the opening to be quite sure it is seated properly. Then, hold the needle with one hand and tighten the thumb screw with the other. Using a small screw driver, (one should have come with the machine), tighten the thumb screw all the way down. No need to over tighten, just make sure it is really snug. Piece of cake:) Good luck. She may have broken it, but he needs to read the manual:)

I have a juki mo 2512 and both needles broke need to know how I replace them?

I have a Juki MO103, on mine, I have to take a screw driver and loosen a screw on each of the needle bars to remove and replace the needles.

My machine requires two different sized needles so make sure you know what needles you need.

My needle broke. I replaced it. Now when I lower the needle to grab the bobbin thread it is hitting something. I have taken the bobbin case out and put it back in but it still wont work. Any suggestions? ...

It sounds to me like you have replaced the broken needle with one that is too long (wrong size).Check your manual for the proper needle size and look through your collection, or head down to the local sewing shop and pick up a new pack of proper sized needles. Now if the needle you replaced the broken one with is the same size, you most likely didn't loosen the set screw up enough and therefore didn't slide the needle up far enough before locking it in. Double check this.

Good Luck!

How do I remove the needles A & B

Needle removal is pretty simple. The foot was already removed on my wife's machine. Am not sure that was necessary, but if it is it is very simple....single screw. Once that is off, get out the small allen head driver from your serger tools and loosen both needles...and remove them...and replace with new. Maybe a two minute job. The needles seem to be a generic size....available at WalMart.
