Apparently the problem might not be with the stereo but with the device you're connecting to the stereo. Remember there are two types of usb versions,1.0 and 2.0. Which one will the stereo accept. Now my stereo only accepts the 1.1 version. I have'nt tried the usb feature on my stereo yet, but it only speaks of the 1.1 version, not the 2.0 version in the manual.

Hope I've been helpful.

When i boot up my laptop i am getting the error message, "operating system not found." Can you please give me advice on what to do to fix my laptop? Toshiba laptop and im scared i may lose the things

Your hard drive is missing from the system. Or, just does not recognize it. The obvious - Remove any USB devices like drives and any media from disc player. Its trying to load, but can't find bootable hard drive, CD, or USB... Remove the hard drive and reseat (reconnect). Check BIOS by pressing an F key during boot. Look on the screen for correct Function key. Might be F2 key. Verify BIOS recognizes the drive. It must be listed! There is no going forward if it's not. Check boot order and make internal hard drive first. Save and restart.

Reboot and selected proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key

Hi,

Can you be more specific on your problem? Where do you see this error? How did it come about?

Just from the error your provided, this usually is seen on a computer when you have no operating system installed. If you are trying to install an operating system on your computer, you will normally do this through a CD/DVD. Your computer will need to boot up from the CD, DVD, USB or etc, whichever you are using.

To get it to do this, reboot your computer and as the computer is booting up you will see some options. We want the option that says "boot options", "settings", or "bios". Something similar to this. You will have to be quick as these options usually appear only for seconds.

If you go into your computer BIOS, you can select which device your computer will choose first to try and load an operating system. Make sure you select the right device(usb/dvd/cd etc).

If you are not trying to install an operating system, or have any questions please comment back.

Regards,

To start the system recovery:

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the Alt and F10 keys repeatedly.
  3. If you are prompted with a Microsoft Windows boot screen, press the Enter key.
  4. After the system recovery application has loaded, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System.
If the ability to reinstall from the previous method is not available or fails, recovery of the Operating System will need to be from Recovery Media.
Note: If your computer does not have an internal optical disc drive, an external optical disc drive will be required in order to recover the Operating System using Acer Recovery Media.
  1. Restart the computer.
  2. When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the F12 key repeatedly to enter the computer's Boot Menu.
  3. Press the CD-ROM drive eject button and insert the disc labeled System CD.
  4. Close the CD-ROM tray.
  5. Refer to on screen instructions to select either CDROM or USB CDROM.
  6. The computer will boot from the Acer Recovery Media
  7. When prompted for the Recovery CD, remove the System CD and insert the Recovery CD.
Note: If there are multiple Recovery CDs, please insert the first of the Recovery CDs.
  8. After the system recovery application has loaded, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System.
Note: If you do not have a set of Acer Recovery Media, you may purchase the set online from the Acer Recovery Media Order Form. If your computer is unable to run the Acer Recovery process, or errors occur during recovery, please contact Acer support.

Error loading operating system

1. The reason it says "error loading operating system" is because kill disk wiped the operating system from off your computer.
2. Now that you have the installation disk, you need to tell the computer to boot from it. For Dells, usually press F12 when the Dell logo appears, and it should bring up a boot menu. Select the optical drive and it should boot. If you do not see a boot menu, go into your computer's BIOS and tell it to look at the optical drive first when booting, then it will boot from the disk.

Toshiba satellite pro 600 won't boot up

If you get this error in a black screen before windows xp can boot up....
CLIENT MAC ADDR: xxxxxxx GUID: xxxxxxxxxx
PXE-E53: no boot filename recived
PXE-MOF: exiting intel PXE Rom
Your network card's settings in bios have somehow been changed. PXE means Pre-Execution Enviroment. In other words, it allows your network card to connect to a network server to pull operating system images off the network and other files without having an operating system installed.
The Fix,
Go into BIOS press F2 or F12 whatever your PC's screen at bootup says. In Bios, reset your bios settings to the default bios settings, or original settings. If nothing else fixed it. Windows Recovery cd will not fix it, because you cannot boot windows if this error is still occuring, Your network card will keep prompting DHCP to search for a network. Its a bios function not a windows function. Reset your bios settings to the default.

No booting

The problem is Operating systems are co-dependent on hardware.
If the motherboards, processors, ram, video adapters, etc don't match you would not be able to swap hard drives and expect to boot.

You could try pressing F8 on boot and try to access safemode.

If it does boot into safemode immediately it will want to reactivate windows.(because of all the hardware changes.

If it still can't boot, you may want to put the 80 gig in as slave to the 40gig and ghost the 40 gg hard drive over to the 80.

If you don't want to lose your data on the 80 gig then reboot with an xppro cd and reinstall windows in the same partition overlaying the installation on top of existing windows directory.

the new windows will have to be activated but all data will still be there.
