How to transfer videos from samsung vp-w70 to pc or watch via tv

Did your camcorder not come with a cable to connect to the TV?

If not, I had the same issue last year wanting to back up some old family videos and I went looking for "the cable" to do it.

I found this one in my local electronix store and it works a treat. The software package that came with it allows me too play tapes directly to the computer and then edit before saving them in a variety of formats.

The cable was a bit pricey (€75) but the end result was over 40 hours of home video saved on a hard drive and made into DVD's for the family..

** A note of caution though, I found out a couple of weeks after buying it that this cable wouldn't work on MAC. Luckily we have a pc. Also, my laptop didn't have the power to process the streaming video so it was all done on my girlfriends... Again, I didn't read the small print on the specs requirements and the video is patchy and full of gaps when done on my laptop**
