The heat from your vent should be a little lower than what the oven is set at. So I doubt if you have a problem but you might want to take some temperature measurements to see.
I do not know this cooker, but a lot of cookers have fan between the top and the oven, to prevent the heat of the oven going to the top.
Normally you do not hear them, but when a bearing becomes worser, you can hear and feel the fan.
May be this is the problem?
i just moved and our stove in the new place doesnt bake things right. it seems that the top coil doesnt come on. its very difficult to bake anything. seems to come up to temp for pre heating, but only the bottom coil comes on. If you put it on broil, then the top coil gets hot. that works fine. tired of burning pizzas and biscuits. can anyone help with a cheap fix? dont have alot of cash.
Hi I Have A GE XL44 That Is Running Very Hot I Want To Know How To Troubleshoot Because When I Was Cooking Plantains I Did Burned My Fingers Because Of The Oven That Is Running Too Hot
you have no heat at all? K, pull stove out and check how many volts you have should be 240. Your elements work off 240 if you only have 120 coming to stove the lights will work jujst not your heat. You should have a double pole 40amp breaker If you only have 120 change the breaker
sounds like a bad bake ignitor(uneven heat, long cook times, long preheat times, perhaps even gas smell while cooking)as far as the heat from under the clock assy thats the normal vent( nedds to release heat somewhere, not a problem
There is a vent pipe for the oven in the back usually just under the left rear burner, it is normal too get hot air there, if your drip pans are all solid you might want too change too pans that have holes in the center it should allow the top too breath a little better.
yes.
