Check the dive/float assembly. It's the dual float with arms that is hinges off of the main body. It should be near the bottom, if it has come loose and is near the top of the unit, it will cause the problems you mentioned. You may have to replace the weight holder to fix it.

I have a 20X40 rectangular liner pool and my kreepy krauly stays in the deep end of the pool. I think I need to adjust the weights. Where should the weights be placed?

The first weight from the cleaning head should be adjusted so the Kreepy sits flat on the floor with the system turned off. Then you can start moving the next weight until it starts climbing the hill to the shallow end. It may take a few times but if you get the weights set correctly it should work.

My kreeper craler wont stay on the bottom of the poll its tippietoes across the bottom of the pool

it's usually caused by not enough weights on the suction hose, or the vertical stabilizer float has gone past the stop tabs and it sitting way too high on the unit. the hinged double stabilizer should be secured near the bottom of the unit and should only move side to side, it should not travel up the kreepy at all.

Falls on its side

If these pool cleaners are leaning to one side, it is most likely a problem with your hose. First, make sure that you have the proper hose weights in the proper places. When the cleaner is setting flat on the bottom of the pool, it should be at a 45 degree angle against the pool floor. For this model, you should have two hose weights on the middle of the second hose section, 1 1/2 meters from the cleaner head. You might need to adjust the weights to get proper balance, but the cleaner should not fall on its side if it is in the correct resting position.

Hi, I also bought my Bull Shark Kreepy Krauly recently - 3 months ago. Since day 1 it liftes up at the end and does not move flat on the surface of the swimming pool. Please assist.

First, check for debris in the pool cleaners flapper. This can cause a lack of suction the floor. Also, check for proper hose balance. If the hose rests at a greater than 45 degree angle, the hose is too light and you need to move the hose weights closer to the cleaner. If the hose rests at a less than 45 degree angle, you need to move the weights away from the cleaner.

Hi, I bought my Bull Shark Kreepy Krauly recently and from the start it lifted up at the end and does not move flat on the surface of the swimming pool. Please assist.

If it has never worked properly, it could be that your pump and filter system are too small for this particular automatic pool cleaner. If you don't feel that this is the case, there a few things that you can check. Make sure that there is not debris in the flapper. It could be causing a loss of suction, making the pool cleaner rise off the floor of the pool. Also, check your water flow coming from your return line. It could be too high. You can adjust it with an eyeball diverter if necessary.

My kreppy crawly turns side ways and dosent correct its self

With this brand of pool cleaners, that is almost always going to be a problem with your hose balance. Turn your pump off and observe your Kreepy Krauly. The seal should rest flat on the pool surface and the hose and tubes should be at a 45 degree angle. Adjust hose weights (as follows) one inch at a time until you get the proper balance. If you have a deep and shallow end, adjust to the deep end first.

The hose is too light if it raises toward the surface at a greater than 45 degree angle. Move the weights closere to the cleaner (one inch at a time). If the cleaner is closer to the pool floor, move the weights away from the cleaner.

Krauly gets tangled in the hose constantly and will not untangle

With these pool cleaners, that is almost always going to be a problem with your hose balance. To determine if your balance is correct, turn off the pump and observe the cleaner. Hose balance is correct if the cleaner's seal rests flat on the pool floor and drive tubes make a 45 degree angle with the floor. If the hose rises toward the surface at an angle greater than 45 degrees, move the weights closer to the cleaner or move the first two weights closer to each other. If the hose sags at less than a 45 degree angle, move the weights away from the Kreepy Krauly or separate the first two weights away from each other.

Do you have any hose weights fitted to the kreepy hose? If you do,take it off and see if it makes a difference. Is this happening while the kreepy is operating?
