Time/Date stamp doesn't show up...

I am having a problem with the date/time. When I record, the date and time don't show up. I've set and reset the time and date a million times but it still won't show up on the touch panel or in the view finder. it's there for the first 5 sec when I turn the camera on. It's available on the screen in play/edit mode only.

When I capture the video onto DVD the date and time are not recorded on the tape as it isn't displayed on screen when played back on dvd

I've been using Hi8 and digital8 tapes.

Thanks!

This camcorder has a built in rechargeable battery for the memory of the date and time, if you do not use it for more than three months, it will discharge all the way; to recharge, you need to plug camera with ac power for 24 hours and the camera turned off. this should charge the internal battery complete.

You have to set the camera up properly in the menu whilst in video mode. There is a setting in the record menu to enable time and date recording.

How do I get the date stamp to show up on the picture DMC Lz2 ? I've already set the clock in the settings menu. But the date and time stamp doesn't show up on the photo taken.

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

I cant seem to find setting for time/date stamp?? or did i just missed it??? need the date to be printed on my pic.btw im using DSC T10. wish u could help. thx.

Hello! Welcome to FixYa!
According to the review features of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T10 Digital Camera, this camera doesn't have a feature for superimposing date/time on images, however you can print images with the date superimposed, So by default u cannot put the time or date stamp on your images, but after taken the images you can manually put the stamp and can print the images.
Don't hesitate to let me know if you want any further assistance.
I hope this solution helps you
Thank you and Keep using FixYa!

I have a Zenith DVD/VCR and I am recording a tape

unless the security camera has a setting for recording the date stamp you probably can't. The camera probably has a setup tab to enable embedding the date stamp on the video.

Show/print date stamp on my photos

In order to imprint the date stamp on photos, the photo size (L, M1, M2, M3, S, Postcard) must be set to Postcard, and in the recording menu the "Date Stamp" option must be set to Date or Date & Time.

Displaying time and date when printing

The date/time cannot be deleted once it is embedded in the image. To turn off the date/time deselect the date/time stamping by following procedure:
These instructions explain how to insert the date in images.
attention:
  • The [Date Stamp] cannot be deleted from the image data once it has been recorded because the date is written in as an image.
  • When selecting [Date Stamp] , [Recording Pixels] is set to 1600 x 1200 pixels and the compression (image quality) to [Fine].
  • When the shooting mode is set to <Movie> (g0029623.gif), settings for inserting the date and time cannot be made.
  • The following explanations are provided based on the assumption that the [Shooting Mode] is set to <Program AE> (g0034813.gif).

1. Press the <Power> button on the camera.

Date stamp

To get the date/time to be on your photos while taking the picture so you don't have to use the software later do this:

When in the mode to take pictures, press the round "Function Set" button and change the recording pixels to "Postcard 1600 X 1200". "Postcard" is the only setting that will allow the time/date stamp to be recorded on the picture.

Then press the "Menu" button and scroll down to "Date Stamp". You can select "Date", "Date & Time" or "Off". You can only do this when your pictures are set to the "Postcard" mode.

Show the Date stamp on the picture

One reason why the date stamp is not showing would be that you have not set the system date/time. The date/time resets everytime you take out the battery. Please go to this link and download the userguide... http://alpha02u.c-wss.com/inc/ApplServlet?SV=WWUCA900 file name : PSS500IXUS500CUG-EN.pdf ...Go to page 26 which will tell you how to set the date/time and then go to page 109,113 for the date/time to be displayed on the photographs. Please tell me if this helps
