These procedures are from the owners manual, go into menu and then picture quality and then:
Convergence
The Convergence feature lets you adjust the TV’s three tubes. When the TV tubes’
images are precisely aligned, they create the color images you see on the screen.
Over time, the picture can drift out of alignment (this is normal). If your picture
seems fuzzy or has a yellow tint, using Convergence could correct this
misalignment. Only one convergence is needed for all inputs, regardless of the
signal format.
Note: Make sure the TV has been on for at least 30 minutes (TV needs to
warm up for best results) before starting Auto Converge or Red/Blue
Centering.
When you select the Convergence feature, a submenu appears with three options:
Auto Converge Automatically aligns the projection lenses to self-correct
color images. You’ll see flashing squares of color dance across the screen
(this is normal).
Note: After performing auto convergence, use the Blue Centering and
Red Centering menus to fine tune convergence in the center of the
screen, if necessary.
Blue Centering Aligns the blue and green images to fine-tune the picture.
Red Centering Aligns the red and green images to fine-tune the picture.
Note: The ability to change channels is disabled when adjusting the
convergence options. The TV must be tuned to a usable signal to
converge the picture.
If the following doesn't work the
tubes could be at the end of life: Adjusting convergence: Note: For best
results, the Projection TV needs to be turned on for 15 minutes or
longer before adjusting the picture tubes (convergence).

Press CURSOR RIGHT to enter the PICTURE menu.
Use CURSOR DOWN and RIGHT to select and enter MANUAL CONVERGE.
Press CURSOR RIGHT to select CONVERGE RED or press CURSOR RIGHT
and DOWN to select CONVERGE BLUE.
A crosshair will be shown on the screen. If there is any red or

try and merge the fringe colors with the crosshair.
Press the 'MENU/SELECT' button to return to MANUAL CONVERGE
menu.
Press the 'EXIT' button to exit the menu.
If you are satisfied with the convergence you may stop now.
Otherwise, you can continue and adjust the convergence more using mult

has a color outline.
Press the 'EXIT' button to enter ADJUST mode.

Repeat as necessary.
Press the 'MENU' button to return to the MANUAL CONVERGE menu.
Press CURSOR DOWN until SAVE MULTIPOINT is
selected.

The convergence is off. The convergence is basically the assimilation of the image on the screen from the three "guns" behind the screen. There should be a menu option to align the convergence in the image portion of the menu. If this does not fix the issue, then your convergence chip might be on it's last leg.
1) Convergence Chips are failing - Using your original remote goto the "convergence" screen.
Try to adjust the red - UP - DOWN - LEFT - RIGHT
Next try to adjust the blue - UP - DOWN - LEFT - RIGHT
If you can move both colors in all directions you do not have a convergence issue.
If you can't move one or more colors in one or more directions the convergence chips are defective and need to be replaced.
If your convergence chips test out ok the most likely problem is......
2) CRT Coolant is cloudy - The bright outline you described is one common symptom. Other symptoms include dull images, red or orange tint, halo around images.
If you goto the site www.TvRepairKits.com - and click on "Tips" - you will find more detailed instructions on how to check the convergence.
Press the MENU/SELECT button
on the remote control to show the
on-screen menu.
Press the CURSOR RING
RIGHT to enter the PICTURE menu.
Press the CURSOR RING
DOWN repeatedly until CONVERGENCE
is selected.
Press the CURSOR RING
RIGHT to enter the CONVERGENCE
menu.
Press the CURSOR RING
RIGHT to enter CONVERGE RED
mode.
Press the CURSOR RING

adjust the cross image until the color
outline around it is gone.
Press the STATUS/EXIT button
to exit the menu from the screen.
sounds like 1 of the convergence chips are gone theres 2 of them and better off replacing both as the other would just go a month down the line there might also be a resister or 2 gone, the price for that kind of job is around 150 +vat.
This doesn't sound like a programming issue. I had a very similar problem about 6 months ago and I fixed problem. I had cold solder joint on the video power board. It was the board in the middle. The power supply was to the right. The video board had a driver with a bunch of legs. About 7 solder joint where cold or loose. I solder the board and my mitsu wide screen was fixed. Hope this helps. Andy
The yellow is being caused by misconvergence of the red and green beams. Go into the menu and do a convergence setup. Should be under video or convergence heading. Your ops manual should tell you exactly how. If after setting the convergence you still have the problem your digital convergence box is bad and you will need a tech to replace it. About $60 to $100.
