Hi, I have an Imperial Series Heavy Duty Whirlpool top load washer when I wash in cold water the water trickles out, when I change it to hot/warm it works fine, pouring out strong. Help, I need cold for my colors.
Not the problem Wiz but thanks. Actually I should have included that I've checked the water control valve as well as the hose and the screen at the end of the hose. The valve is on full force and the hose and screen wasn't blocked. Any other suggestions. The model is LA9680XWNO.Not the problem Wiz but thanks. You probably have a cold inlet valve with restricted flow, either because the filter on the inlet valve is clogged or because the cold valve is failing......If you wash on "warm" you have both hot and cold water mixed. On rinse there is probably only cold water used....Check water flow for HOT and COLD settings and you'll probably see the difference...Good luck...Nomess
Hi, This is a common question we face daily. Certain washing machines allow hot water to enter only during certain cycles. Others allow hot and cold to enter intermittently. Consult your owner's manual to be absolutely sure about this. If you're sure the machine isn't working the way it used to--or should--try these tests: Is the hot water turned on? If not, turn it on. Is the washer getting cold water but no hot water? If so, check to see if the control panel settings are correct. Thanks for writing to Fixya.com and I am Aparajita. I will be assisting you today.
its a filter inside the water hose thats still blocked or the relay inside the washer for the cold feed is not opening up fully it could just need a clean or maybe a new one fitted
Hi, You need to remove the fill hose and see what is plugging the inlet valve screen. This should make a guge difference.
Please let me knwo ig I can assist you further.
There are filter screens where the supply hoses connect to the washer. On some brands there is a screen where the hose connects to the water valve at the wall. The screen is probably full of sediment.
The most likely cause for water fill temperature problems is the solenoid has burned out, usually cold first, it gets used more. Not a repairable item , easy to replace
