I have a Canon MP240 printer, copier, scanner. My nephew installed it but I don't have a manual for it. I wish to know, if I scan to my computer where do I locate the scanned document on my computer? Many thanks, Vanessa

Try putting it in 'my documents'- create a new folder
- you name it- for your scanned dox or photos, etc.
when you scan an image, it will come up with an automatically assigned file name, but if you click on it, and it is highlighted blue, click delete, and you can give the file any name you wish- such as 'my sasquach photo-alaska 10/15/09', or something like that!!

Want to scan a document into my computer using pixima MP240

if the drivers are install then you can follow the following steps
open my computer-there you will find scanner icon-double click it and follow the onscreen instruction.
if the drives are not instal ten you have to install it from the cd which comes with the printer. Just put in the cd and it will give instruction.

Click on printer icon and hit printer manger. Then click on scan after you have document on scanner. It should do it

Since I installed window 7 (previously vista) my MP 240 canon printer does not want to scan. It says that I must install scanner driver??

May be the driver needs to be upgraded for windows 7.

Have you applied any upgrade for the scanner driver?

IT WILL NOT SCAN... WHY AND HOW DO i FIX IT?

When the scanner is broken you get an error code, otherwise you read the manual, and have scanning software running on your computer before you try to scan. It can't scan until you tell it what you're scanning, how to save it, and where to send the scanned image.

Canon PIXMA mp240 All-in-one InkJet Printer. Error code: 2,140,2

If you get a warning regarding Ink is Empty and even you cannot Scan your documents then you might require a small R&D, Just hold Stop/Reset button for about 5 seconds, then open cartridge access door, Remove both the Cartridge's and wipe it with the wet tissue or cloth... spray water or deodorant on the exposed golden surface of the cartridge and do not let it dry, install as soon as possible... Then close the cartridge access door and switch off your printer, then Re-start it and connect to your computer, Hold Stop/Reset button for 5 seconds and then enjoy scanning...

Canon Scanner mp240 keeps giving error code 2,155,0 and can not scan

To johnkeys 2008 - I have the exact same problem that you have. In spite of what 2,155,0 says, I know that the machine is connected to my computer because I can print and copy. I just can't scan and it's making me crazy. I hope both of us get a response that works.
