FREE UP HARD DRIVE SPACE

Hi! Your 3 Gigs of memory have nothing to do with your disk storage. You may try freeing some disk space by doing the following:
Clean up your recycling bin by selecting the Empty Recycle Bin option, after right clickin on the icon.
Clean up the All User's temp directory, usually within your Windows installation drive-> Windows folder, called TEMP folder.
Clean up your own TEMP folder, usually hidden and found within your own user name folder. To make this folder visible, in File Explorer, go to Folder Options, and find the entry that reads: Hide system files. Uncheck the option. Make sure you reset it after you're done.
A little riskier is to try to resize your virtual memory, or the amount of disk space that Vista (and other versions of Windows) uses to emulate physical RAM, when you have exhausted it.
You may also save disk space by sacrificing the Hibernation feature by disabling it. If you do this, by going to the Advanced Settings of Vista, under System, uncheck the box next to your drive, and while having Hide System Files also unchecked, you can physically delete the file, usually found at the root of your main drive (usually C:) Note: For this change to take effect, you will have to restart your system with a cold boot.
Try buying some software similar to Norton Utilities (a reduced of it is available in Norton 360) that will defragment your drive but will also clean up stray and orphan files left behind by improper uninstallation of other software and temp files left behind when an application like Word, or any other, crashes.
