What settings do I use for the VP201 compressor

There is a problem with your pressure switch. You should have a little black box with a red lever to turn your air compressor on and off. This housing contains your pressure switch, the pressure switch sends an electrical signal to the switch to make your air compressor run. When enough pressure builds up the pressure switch activates, and breaks the signal until the pressure drops below a certain point. I will do some more research on your compressor and find out which pressure switch you need to order. i need you to find any numbers on the compressor you can, serial number, model, stock number, anything you can to help me find the part number.

Have you checked the breaker that carries the plug your using? It mite be overloading it.

not sure but it sounds like the piston ring is worn out or you might have a bad valve.
p.s. its not your typical valve like in a car.

is it a wet compressor, check the oil.

THE PSI RATING IS 70-100PSI. I WASN'T ABLE TO FIND THE SCFM AT THEIR WEBSITE. NO MANUALS AVAILABLE AS OF YET.

with it running check regulator knob .it pulls up turn right pressure should go up.if not regulator bad

CHECK YOUR TANK PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT KNOB ON TOP A LOT OF TIMES THERE NOT SET AT THE FACTORY.HOPE THIS HELP'S

Sometimes the initial start up with the tank at 0 psi electric power is adequate. However when the tank is full or the garage is cold it is a bigger load for start up. Check your overload (reset button) and breaker. If 220 volts one side of the breaker could be tripped without showing.
