Action replay DS wont load on my computer

Hello. I lost my action replay disc so I downloaded the action replay software from a website. But whenever I try to connect to action replay to the computer the software wont respond. I know the cord works okay because my computer dings whenever I plug it in. I thought maybe it was the software so I undownloaded it and looked for the disc again. I found it, but when I tried to put that in and download it the computer doesn't even know the disc is in. It wont read it. So what the heck is going on? I can redownload the software from the website, but it still doesn't work! I have windows XP, someone help!

When i load Pokemon White in the action replay when i press start game the action replay freezes

Update your Nintendo DS action Replay to this version 1.71 and it will work the website you can get this at is http://uk.codejunkies.com/search/codes_search.aspx and on the right hand side you will find Help Pokemon Black And White, there you should find Action Replay DS Version 1.71 Firmware Update download it as an winrar then extract it to your desktop and drag the file over the bar with your action replay inserted in the code manager. When it has finished writing the firmware it will disconnect you from your computer and messege will come up saying 'Reboot your NDS now! you do that by switiching it off then when you switched it on it should say version 1.71, Insert Pokemon white after taking out the action replay then press start game when it comes up Nintendo That means it is working and there you have it you can play Pokemon White with codes and it doesn't freeze at all, So Enjoy.

The action replay guide says to first download the latest code list but I don't know how.

You insert the action replay disc on the computer and install it. Then after that, load it up and download the list for your country.

Your Action Replay DS hardware may require resetting if you are experiencing any of the following problems: * Code Manager PC software is reporting that Action Replay DS does not contain enough free space when it actually contains no codes. * Code Manager PC software is reporting the console`s battery is low when it?s actually fully charged. * Multicoloured bars are shown on the screen after you confirm the entry of a game ID when trying to manually enter codes. * You can use the Code Manager PC software without any problems until the Action Replay DS is connected via USB set to the update mode on the console, at which point Windows shows a run time error. If you are experiencing any of these problems, please follow the steps below to reset the Action Replay DS hardware. Please beware that resetting the Action Replay DS hardware will not restore a default codelist, and any codes which are stored on the Action Replay DS will be erased. With your console powered off insert the Action Replay DS Hold down buttons A+B Turn your console on With A+B still held down, as soon as you see the Action Replay DS license screen press and hold down buttons START+SELECT so that you now have 4 buttons held down Hold all 4 buttons down for around 10 seconds until the Action Replay DS loads to it`s home screen If Action Replay DS doesn?t hold on the license screen for around 10 seconds when you do this, you may need to turn off and try again whats an ard? from code junkies

Action replay when i plug in my ds and load code manager it says waiting for ds even though it is plugged in

IF you are running Vista 64, the issue is the driver on the disk is incompatible, thus the pc will never see the ds. However, I have found a workaround. First make sure the DS is on and plugged in and the Action replay Manager is launched. On the DS click on the mouse so it should read updating software. Then, go into device Manager via the Control Panel, there you will see NDS and an exclamation mark. Right click and choose to update the driver or properties. Then choose Browse My computer for driver software... then let me pick from a list... then fo the manufacturer shoose: Standard USB Host Controller and for the Model choose Unknown. It will pick it up instantlly. Voila.. Good Luck! and what a pain!! V

Can't get codes

I have just found the solution to the problem (2 minutes later XD)
Quote CodeJunkies' Support site:

Try resetting the Action Replay by following these steps:
  1. Insert the Action Replay into the DS
  2. While the Action Replay software is loading, press and hold all the following buttons: A + B + Start + Select.
  3. Release all of the buttons once the Action Replay is at the main menu.
The first screen should persist for much longer than normal, and when the Action Replay DS main menu loads, your hardware should be reset.

Once the reset has been performed, try connecting the USB cable to your PC, opening up the code manager software and transferring data again.

It won't return all of your games back, but it will allow you to start on a clean slate again. (Using the update feature will bring most, if not all of your games back

Action Replay DS - "Load Failed" Error

Have you tried re-installing the Action Replay Code Manager through the disc? I find that re-installation works for most computer programs when the first-time-installation fails. Just choose the most recommended settings (don't do manual stuff) and try again. If it still does not work:

-Check to see if your internet is connected properly
-Check the disc for any scratches; Scratches on the top of the disc are LETHAL to memory!
