Hi if its a Lcd or Dlp rptv most likely its time to replace the lamp if tv is between 2-4 yrs.If you hear clicking it could be the ballast which is the board that powers the lamp.Make sure fans are running ok ,dust them out if they are dirty.God bless you!

NOT A GOOD IDEA AT ALL!

You likely now have one of two things happening:

1. Green power light constantly blinks and will not stop(should blink for 70 seconds and go out).

2. Green power light comes on and a few seconds later goes off.

It sounds like the firmware is corrupt. if you call sony they can repair it for you for a fee.

commonly it is the power supply of your lcd try to check the dc output
it is not giving enough power to operate your lcd.

CP150, CP120 and CP114 capacitors will usually cause that symptom. The RCA repair kit by that same name is available at www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the capacitors and the CD with instructions

60gb ps3 wont start up.

Possibly the very common mother board failure. Slight possibility that the power supply is failed, but the capacitors in either component can be tested with capacitor tester and service manual to test for the faulty component.
