Source for replacement blade for CBG5 B&D Coffee Grinder

While I don't have this brand or model of grinder, (coffee beans, spices?), I use a small elec. grinder for grinding coffee beans and unless the grinder and cover or perfectly lined up and locked in place, it willnot grind, a safety feature. Check and make sure everything is lined up so it closed with all the lines in place and the grinder is also put into the lock position.

I have two different coffee grinders and if it is just the tip of one side of the blades you can continue using it, if there is a large portion that is broken I'm not sure of that model. Hint: check to see if the part is still in the grinder set the grinder for the most coarse grind, don't turn it on, shake it upside down to see if the broken potion is still in the grinder. If you find nothing use the grinder unless the performance is less than you like.

Check to make sure the blades are screwed down tight. If so, Check the shaft, it may be broken just below the bean pan.

sad have the same problem and no one seems to be able to answe . or shoud I say "willing to answer"

1. Always unplug the unit before cleaning. Wash the lid in warm, soapy water - not in a dishwasher.

Wipe the grinding bowl, base, and other parts with a slightly damp cloth or sponge. Take special care

around the blades; they are sharp! Dry parts thoroughly. Do not immerse grinding bowl, base or plug

in liquid or under running water.

2. Never use harsh detergents or abrasive cleansers or scouring pads to clean any

part.

3. To remove residue or aromas left behind by nuts, grind one tablespoon of baking

soda in the bowl then wipe thoroughly.
4. Use the built-in cord wrap on the underside of the unit to store the cord

• after opennig 2 and 3 screws you should hold the shaft of motor with a screw driver from the hole on the lower cover and then turn the blade with suitable tool for opening the blade. after easily separate the lower cover from the body

There's usually some sort of "tongue" on the cover of a coffee grinder that activates a safety switch when the cover is completely in place. Be sure the cover IS completely in place ,and be sure that the little tongue hasn't broken off . . . I have a simple grinder that needs the lid on, because it pushes a little rod down into a hole and activates the grinder. It's designed so that you can't actually activate the blade without the cover in place; of course, a paperclip *could* activate it, but that wouldn't be very safe, now would it?

Does the black plastic thing not lift out of the coffee maker? I just scrub the black bottom and clear top in the sink or run it in the dishwasher. HTH-

make sure the top cover is depresed fully. There's a safety switch underneath it.
