My sidekick 3 does not charge i have 2 press on

The color is orange but that does not mean your sidekick 3 is charging correctly. The sidekick 3 has a charge problem becuase the connector port for teh charger breaks, you sill get the orangeligh, but the leads tthat go to the battery are broken so the battery does not charge. The cheapest thing to do is to get a cradle and do aworkaorund to charge the battery.

it were charging, correct? if so, then you need to get a new charger.

few of them laid around and need to get rid of it) and will selling

Ok, is the sidekick 3 brand new out of the box or new to you.

The sidekick 3 has an issue with the charging port being bad.

I would contact the person who you bought it from and get a refund.

The other option is to get an external battery charger and charge the battery that way

The sidekick 3 has an issue with thte charging port. If you have a friend with a sidekick 3 or sidekick ID, try one of their batteries. If your unit powers on, the charging port has gone bad.

the repair for a charginf port runs about 80-100 dollars. A cheaper work around is to get a charging cradle that has a spare battery charger slot. They run about 30 dollars on ebay and it will allow you to charge the bettery seperate from the phone.

let it charge for 2 hrs. NOw turn it on but beofre pressing button to turn it on, press and hold the l button then press the on button. Once yu see a sidekick icon that looks confused on yur screen, yu may let go and it will ask to reboot. And you do so. Hopefully this works for you.

Sorry to hear that. The Sidekick 3 is notorious for the charging port getting busted.

If you take it apart, you can see that it is soldered in 5 places to the motherboard. Maybe one of those solder joints came loose.

Another option is to get a charging cradle that has a spare battery charging slot. They go for about 30 dollars shipped on ebay. This will allow you to charge your battery external from the phone or if you have an extra battery , have one charging at all times.

All right. The Sidekick 3 has a known charging issue that crops up on some phones. If you are under warranty, call t-mobile and get it fixed. If not, the repair is going to run 100+ to fix the charging port.

A fast and simple solution is to by an external charger and an extra battery. They run about 30 bucks total on ebay.

Be glad the battery is easily removable. The original sidekick and sidekick II had internal batteries that are a pain in the butt to remove!!!
