PS 3 rejecting disc

Your disk drive has broken and will need to be repaired/replaced.

First, examine the connection receptables on the PS 3. For example, inserting the head set pin into wrong PS 3 connection receptable would not produce any sound discussable.
1. The PS3 device has several connection receptacles either for video audio output or video audio in put.
2. Video audio out put only gets sound and movies out of the PS3 device to be projected on to another device, e.g. projector, TV screen or Any out put devices.

Note: You solution is to connect the headset to the out put indication area keeping in mind not to connect to the Video receptable, else would be trying to output video signals to the headset.

Caution: You do not want to connect the headset pin to the Video Audio Input receptacle areas, because, you would be trying to send signals into the PS3 device rather than get sound out.

Important Notes;
Getting signals out of a device like PS3 is inserting the headset in this case, pin connector would be inserted in the INPUT Area; keep in mind your are tryinng to hear sound, SO connect the HeadSet PIN to AUDIO reception area on the PS3 device

The same techniques is achievable for all equipment requirign connection.
REMEMBER TO PHYSOCALLY LOCATE THE INPUT to OUTOUT area on the device.

Give the following proccess a try.

contact the manual of the PS3 device refering to the device connectivity chapters or
Systems diagnostic or malfunction chapters for technical material when required.

Sounds like there is something loose inside of the dvd drive especially if it wasn't accepting discs before.

If you are savy enough, go inside of the ps3 and remove the dvd drive. Then unscrew the screws to the dvd drive, when you open it up there will be a white plastic piece on top that holds the dvds in place so the drive can read it, this piece might just need to be realigned properly.

If its not that then check to see if there is any loose debris in there and remove it, then put the screws back on the drive, hook it back up to the ps3 then put the top cover back and try the drive again. Should be okay at this point.

i mostly think the laser to read the disk is broken you need a new one to work agin

How to Access Playstation Recovery Menu

1. Turn off Playstation®3.
2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

• Lastly You could try a full system restore WHICH WILL ERASE ALL YOUR HDD ITEMS so back them up if you wish
• ****UPDATE***** You could also insert a Blu ray Lens cleaner disc into the disc drive and it will clean the PS3 lens either as a preventitive, or after the fact the drive stopped reading your discs because some people have reported their system reading discs again after this process.
• You could always lastly take apart your system and try cleaning the lens with cotton swab and alcohol as a last effort scenario especially if your system is already out of warranty

hi my sony PS3 playstation console won't load any games or read them; i ahve hardly played the console and only had it 10 months. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS TO FIX THE CONSOLE PLEASE ADVISE URGENTLY AS I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO; I AM STUCK!!

This is a common problem which is usually fixed by following these steps. Turn ON your PS3.
Go into the menu with all the scrolling menus
Go into system settings and make sure auto-play is on.
Press the PS button on your controller until you see the stand-by type menu. The screen has a dark filter on it and it should say "TURN OFF CONTROLLER, TURN OFF SYSTEM"
Insert disc

you can transfear you information to a memory stick, or just taing off the hd and conect it to your computer to make a backup of your information, then you may restore your ps3 hd to see if that works, and if it doesnt, contact me!

Do you have the receipt? If you do, return it to the retailer and ask if they can replace it (they are legally obliged to replace it where I live, I'm not too sure about Asia though, but you should try anyway).

Or try to phone Sony and ask them (their customer service number should be on their website).

simple , try cleaning your disc first, then put in PS3...
