Are you sure it's really turning off? My camera goes into a "sleep" or power down mode....a slight pressure on the shutter button wakes it up and it's ready to shoot.
Hey Molivencia, According to the manufacturer this camera not only comes with Nikon Picture Project, but also comes with Kodak Easyshare software. Both versions are not compatible with Windows 2000, but according to Nikon there is a version of Kodak Easyshare v.6.0.1 that is compatible with Windows 2000, and I have provided a link below to it.
