My nokia 2610b keeps asking me to enter PUK code what do i do

PUK is pin unblocked key, the notification that want you to insert puk is caused by you enter a wrong pin code 3 time, the pin and the puk code is depending on your sim card
it mean the better way is contacting your sim card service provider customer care to ask your PUK and PUK 2 code number
use another sim card with the same service provider and call customer care and ask about your sim card PUK number

Inorder tosolve your PUK problem, *kindly contact your service provider (customer care) *Tell your phone number and they will give your PUK code *Enter that code on your cell phone(Wall that ask puk code) *Then your phone ask another pin code&to verify,there you can type your desired code(say 0000,00000,1234,12345). * Then your phone will restart normally.... Hi, If your handset asks for PUK code, you need to contact the service provider and provide them 20 digit sim number for the PUK code . Service provider numbers will be toll free. Once you get the PUK code, enter it . And then it will ask for new PIN number, you need to enter 0000 twice. Hope I helped you. Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

PUK is not your phones code. its the sim code. if you enter three times wrong PIN number then the sim asks u for a PUK to unlock the sim card. if u enter 10 times wrong PUK code then your sim will get corrupted and u cant be use that sim anymore. to solve this problem. you have to contact the sim vendor or customer care to retrieve the code from them. u have to give 16 digit sim no: while they ask for conformation. after getting the PUK no. keep that Number in safe place for future use.....

Btw, if u enter ur PUK wrong 3 times...ur sim will be permanently blocked!!....so be Careful!!

Then, follow instructions and enter ur phone no.....They'll tell u ur PUK....
Enter ur PUK,
The fone then asks u to enter ur new PIN no. ......n confirm it!
If u wanna keep ur PIN code then it'll ask u for the new PIN dat u entered each time u switch on ur cell!!
if u don wanna keep it, then go to Menu>Settings>n to whereva u disable ur PIN code....n try not to 4get ur PIN code.....
If u can't remember it ....then keep it as four zeroes ( 0000 ).....this is usually the initial PIN no. when u get a new phone!

You enter the PUK code, when the SIM has been locked by too many attempts at entering the PIN code for the SIM.

When the PUK code is needed, the phone will specifically ask you to enter it. If you want to trigger the PUK code request, enter the PIN code for the SIM card incorrectly a few times. There is no key press codes to trigger the PUK code prompt.

Each PUK code is specific to each SIM card, and has nothing to do with the phone itself.

And the PUK code is also not related to the phone security/lock code (the default for the security/lock code on the phone is 12345 on Nokia phones).

there is no default puk code.
puk code is unique.
all sim has separate separate puk code.
you got the puk code from your customer care.
just call your customer care and tell him to give the puk no. of your sim and give them the information they want.

I don't know why Nokia leaves this PUC Option available to the user! Sorry but after 3 incorrect tries your SIM Card is fried! Your gonna need a new SIM Card & you''ll good to go again.
