You said that the access point is connected to the switch. Are you using any router?
If you have a router connected to the switch then it's ok. otherwise you need to connect the Access point and computer to the router.
check the IP address of the router and the access point. Both should be in the same IP address range

How can i activate internet on nokia E63?

Your device can detect and connect to wireless local area networks (WLAN). Using a WLAN, you can connect your device to the internet. To use a WLAN connection, you must create an internet access point (IAP) for the WLAN. Use the access point for applications that need to connect to the internet.
Use the WLAN wizard to create an access point
1. You can access the WLAN wizard directly from your home screen's information area. Another way to get to the WLAN wizard is to select Menu > Connectivity > WLAN wizard.
2. If the search finds WLANs, you can create an internet access point - scroll to the connection, select Options > Start web browsing. If you select a secured WLAN, you will be asked to enter the relevant password. To connect to a hidden network, you must enter the correct network name (service set identifier, SSID).
3. To end the active connection, select the connection > Options and Exit. If you want to define whether you want to use the WLAN or packet data connection when starting to browse the web, you can set it so that the device always asks which access point is to be used.

Set up an access point inquiry when you open the browser
1. Select Options > Settings.
2. Select General > Access point, and from Always ask - You always get to select which access point you use.

Can't find where to type in the code, have checked every where.

Access the web-server "inside" the router.
Run the "Wireless Networking Setup Wizard".
Enter a SSID of your choice.
Select 'WPA' as your encryption-level.
Enter a password/passphrase/network-key of your choice.

Use the SSID and the password to connect your wireless device to your router.

How do i find my network key

Use an Ethernet cable to connect from the network-port on your computer to one of the LAN ports on the ACER Access Point.
Access the web-server "inside" the router to run the "Wireless Network Setup Wizard".
You'll need to specify an SSID, choose an encryption-level (use 'WPA'), and specify the password/pass-phrase/network-key.

Use that SSID and password to connect your wireless device to your now-fully-configured router.

How do I have the printer recognize the router so I can print from my laptop from another room please? I have a C27250

Hi,

Make a wireless connection between an HP all-in-one with built-in wireless networking capability and a functional wireless network with an access point (router) that is SecureEZSetup enabled.

Connecting the unit to the computer
  1. Activate SecureEzSetup on the access point (router). Usually this is accomplished by pressing a button on the access point. Refer to the router or access point documentation for specific instructions.
  2. Press the Setup button on the all-in-one.
  3. Press the arrow buttons until Network displays and then press OK . The Network menu displays.
  4. Press the arrow buttons until Wireless Setup Wizard displays and then press OK .
  5. Follow the instructions in the Wireless Setup Wizard.
  6. After the all-in-one connects to the network, install the product software on the computer.

Regards,
Rizwan

I can not connect new laptop to existing personal wireless networ

unplug router for 10 seconds and plug back in. Then try. If needed, use network setup wizard.
You can also renew your pc's ip address by going to start menu, then run. Then type ipconfig/ release then type ipconfing /renew and everything should be fine.

HP printer cannot find access point and I'm not sure what to do.

You must first connect your printer to the pc using usb cable, then run installation wizard that is on the CD that came with the printer.

Wizard will guide you through the setup orcess where you will provider your routers ssid (linksys) to your printer, and your printer will use that ssid to connect to your router.

After the Wizard setup is done, it will tell you to disconnect the usb cable and only then your printer will work on wireless.

Good luck,
Milan

You are connected to access point but the internet cannot be found.

Do you have a connection wizard that you can run on your computer? Linksys offers them for downloading at their website. Try that -
have you named your home network so your wireless connection can "find" it? You don't mention how your main computer is networked in. A wireless adapter for a notebook will need to have a Linksys connection wizard run on the laptop.

If you have a Linksys router connected to your main computer, it should already have the piece of software you need. Most likely, you'll need to put it on a flash drive and install it from that onto your laptop. the wizard helps also to diagnose the right settings.

If you want to post what you are using for your main network (linksys router?) and which operating systems you are using, that will help.

For example, in Vista, you'll need to enable the option for "network discovery" under your laptop's control panel/network and sharing center.

You also need to have certain settings on your main computer for the wireless to work - there are two main types of wireless connections - B and G. Most of today's routers and cards will do both, but if you have an older router, it might not be set up to handle the newer or combined types. They run on different frequencies, so your laptop might not be "reading" your router's frequency. Also, if you have other wireless/radio frequency equipment near your laptop, it can interfere with the signal being received right.

You also need to be sure that your firewall allows the linksys system to access your computer (allowed programs).

Linksys WAP11 Wireless-B (802.11b) Access Point

you have to go into the routers settings, by typing it's ip address (refer to manual) in your internet browser and look for DHCP and make sure that it is enabled to automatically assign both your pcs an ip address. This must be done using a lan RJ45 cable that was supplied; first before going wireless. Next go to each pc and either use the wireless network setup wizard or go to your wireless network connections (in control panel>network connections) and right click on the connection(this is not the lan connection icon, make sure you choose your wireless icon) and select properties, then click the internet protocol line TCP/IP and again click properties. make sure that 'Obtain IP address automatically is ticked and click ok. Your pcs may need a restart and should find the router will be seen in your found connections, click connect and your away
