Hi, Try going into BIOS and change the boot order of the pc to your cd/dvd rom drive. Disable everything else ( hard drive, floppy..etc) and disable allow for other boot devices. Your disc should boot and you can reformat and install xp. HankHi, Try going into BIOS and change the boot order of the pc to your cd/dvd rom drive. Insert your Windows CD, power down the computer, restart it, enter your boot menu (not sure what F key it is on this model and couldn't find the info), boot from CD and follow instructions for reformatting and reinstalling Windows. Make sure you back up all you data first.
You need a windows Vista disc. Insert the disc and follow the prompts. I would format the hard drive instead of upgrading do a new install. The best way would be to go into your bios and make sure the boot device order has the cd-rom booting before the hard drive. Then put the disc in and start the computer, when it says press any key to boot from cd hit any key and let it load and then follow the prompts to install.
boot your computer into the bios and check to see if the drive shows there , if it does then dissconected the drive ( with power off ) and reboot the computer , let it fully boot , then turn off and reconnect the drive and windows should pick it up
For me this is not a BIG trouble. Usually If you have reformat your computer all function of the motherboard were lost. So, you need to install also the motherboard driver. Get the CD installer of your motherboard load it to the CD room drive follow the instruction given there.
hi. if u dont have the cd then u dont have to buy a new cd or u dont have to get any cd for ur computer all u need to do is just go to this website and install all the drivers one by one and ur computer will be up and runnig.follow the link http://gochinboy.wordpress.com/2008/11/25/nec-lavie-pc-lt900cd-notebook-drivers-winxp-32-bit/
most computer boot sequence is set up in the bios, you can access the bios if you watch the computer start and press the appropriate key, some are f2 as it boots or escape.
then enter bios look for the boot ......and make the cd first boot option.
then save the bios most by pressing f10 to save it, the computer will reboot......
then say press any key to boot from cd.
hope that helps
try to look for your driver cd. the drivers for all of your hardware component sshould be there. look for the cd that came along with your system...install first driver for your motherboard, video, audio, modem or network card driver.make sure to restart your computer after every installation for the drivers to be properly installed..if ever you dont have the driver cd with you.i believe the manufacturer of your computer has a site wherein you can download the drivers for your computer
I used to have a DVD/CDRW driver on my Sony Vaio and I had to replace it twice it died on me and I had to buy a new one every time the truth is that many things can go wrong for such small device so try this go to http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/FIRMWARE/Nec/Nec-ND-6500A-firmware-424.shtml
Download the firmware, if after that it still wont work your chances are that you have to buy a new one.
is your cd a copy or original.
