Scan drivers I get the message that the scan drivers aren't installed and I should install and try again. I have reinstalled and reinstalled the software and I still get the message - and it won't scan.

Do you have original CD with you? if not down load the full feature drivers from hp web site. Un install the drivers, re-install once again..verify your driver CD supports the OS what you are using?..

1. Turn the power to the computer off.

• If the issue persists, continue to the next solution.

Go to Control panel = Uninstall program = remove Canon Mp470 driver... after completing = re-install the programme again.. while installing program you must select "Easy install" thanks...

I would download the drivers from canon at link below. They have the latest software. There software should get your scan up and running. Here is the link just choose the operating system that you have.

The best way to get the driver is to download it from there web site. The link posted below. You will need to select your operating system to get the right software under driver and downloads.

Dear sir,I am sory for your problem.Please format your oparating system i mean you install new windows.some times optical driver did not read properly data cab file,So hardware driver is not support properly.Windows xp SP3 is not complite version some messing.

remove all associated driver and scanner software reinstall all the software with the scanner and printer disconnected then rebootit all connected. Try again

hey i also had this type of problem. but i solved it and hope it will solve yours too.
first of all uninstall all ur hp drivers and softwares related to the hp printer. then restart your pc. now disconnect ur printer with ur computer and turn it off and again on after 15 secs.
now insert the cd which i have got with the hp printer in the cd-driver of ur pc and install the driver.
after the installation is complete, connect ur printer, but do not remove ur cd.
then start scanning, and if it will again ask for installing driver, u dont have to worry it will install it from the cd.
this would surely help u, if problem persists, please tell me.

First make sure that the scanner drivers and all the PSC drivers have been installed.
Or try to reinstall the printer drivers by removing all Hewlett Packard's applications from "add - remove programs" in the control panel. Then disconnect your printer and restart the computer.
When the PC finishes loading windows, insert the HP printer software CD while pressing SHIFT on the keyboard for 30 seconds. Connect the printer again and follow the "Found new hardware" wizard instructions. When a gray sandglass pops up, choose "Decline" or "Not agree" to the license terms and continue with the installation.
After that, try to scan again from Photoshop or another scanning program. Remember that in the reinstallation, you haven't installed the HP image zone software.
