Plug in sldz 1200 no power tried another cord same no power changed out fuse with same amps and volt from radio shack still no power so im stuck help please.

You need to use a ohm meter (you can get one cheap) and find out if the power switch is working. You can also determine with it if the power is getting into the turntable. If the switch is working and power is getting to it, then either the transformer has failed or something is wrong in the power supply section.

Try plugging it into a different power point. The problem is with the power supply fluctuating. You can eliminate that with a UPS, here is a link to wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uninterruptible_power_supply

Stopped working

No! I meant trying another wall outlet. If you do not have a meter to check the power then try another plug. The motor will usually have some hum or noise if there is power to the motor. Steve

Turntable power knob broke..

there should be a metal bit in the middle of that switch housing, sorta like the spindle on the platter, it should have one flat edge just get some pliers and twist the metal bar in the middle clockwise, until you replace the switch that will be the only way to swtich it off and on.

ive done this before many times, and sometimes in clubs the decks are in bad shape, so i always bring pliers, just in case!

Technics 1200 turntable - no power Musical Fidelity AMP - no power

Technics 1200 - if the mains cord connectors and fuses are ok - it could be the power switch - when you rotate the switch do any lights come on? If it is just no rotation of the turntable platter then it could be the motor controller IC.

There is an internal regulator - often the associated zener and transistor fail.

Please rate this as a genuine cure - I know these inside out and with a bit more information I can give you a solution.

No control of platter speed

One of the drive circuits on the main board are faulty, and will need to be replaced. This is not an easy fix, so you will need to take it to a qualified service center for service and repair. Not an expensive fix, but a little time consuming in isolating the issue.

Technic 1200 mk2 turntable wont spin

need to know if it powers up. Does it try to spin, do you hear it trying to spin? More than likely the on/off switch went bad. No, I am not referring to the ON/OFF knob. THere is a switch this engages when turned. The part is S601. You might also want to replace the Start/Stop switch as well. If neither work, then the issue is on the main PC board, and probably IC101, or IC201 with the problem. At this stage, you will have to have a service tech look at your unit.
