    Thanks for the info Fozzy.

Removed the PCB in my machine and C17 was blown. Replaced the cap. and back in business. Saved splashing €100 on new board!!!

    Thanks

Hi there I have the same problem. Can you tell me the part numbers (radionics or farnell) for c10, r20 and c17?

  • bazsutto Nov 19, 2010

Just try C17 first, If you look on the side of the cap, you will see the info required. I think you need a 680uF, 105degree, 10Volt electrolitic Capacitor. As it is a capacitor, they have a large tollerence (5-10%), you can use a similar value one. I used a 1000uF, 105 Degree, 25Volt (can go a larger voltage) one and it works perfect.

I had the same problem.

If you are confident, remove the circuit board (power off) from the rear of the washer take not on where the connectors go!!

Look to see if the area around c10/r20 is charred and c17 is blown.

I replaced the chip plus the capacitors and cured the problem, all for about £15.

Wf340 door locked sign flashing ? will not start the program?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor. Both require a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(
Good luck,

Where can i get instructions on how to use my hot point aquarius wf340 washing machine

You can retrieve a complete owners manual if you go to the manufacturers site, under"support" you'll see downloads, type in your model # and it will come through as a type "pdf." file to keep on your computer forever.

My Hotpoint washing machine wf340 will not complete a wash cycle it just stop then the lights start flashing next to the mini load button + reduced crease button and the on off button pls help

You have a bad printed circuit board (PC board). You will have to replace. I would rate this job a 4 on a hardness scale from 1 to 10. You will need your model number located on the back of the console toward the top. Go to this site and enter your model number. You can order it with a credit card 24/7 http://www.partselect.com/

Wash enhance & on/off flashing

The only time the lights kept flashing on my Hotpoint machine was when the outflow pipe going into the ubend was blocked,

Check for blockages, but make sure that you have a bucket or pan ready to collect the water flow.

I hope this helps

Hotpoint aquarius wf340

Hi,
First remove the filter (if you can do this easily) - place a roasting pan under it to catch the water.

If you cannot get to any filter, remove the rear pipe from the waste pipe, and check it is not obstructed.
If it looks good enough, try a hot wash with 1 cup of soda crystals. This should clear any accumulation of grease in the pipes.

If still no good, you may have to open up the machine to clear any internal filter before the pump, and check pump vanes are still intact.
