Light keeps flashing and water will not heat

The light should stop flashing when ready to brew.

  • Anonymous Aug 27, 2013

Perhaps this is obvious to some, but I am pretty bright and it took me two hours of frustration to figure out. Fill the reservoir when it is attached to the rest of the machine. Only that will make the magnet/float raise the inner magnet. I kept filling the reservoir at the sink and then attaching it.

There is a float at the side of the machine by the water level, if the float gets stuck the red light will continue to flash even though water is present. Use a magnet on the outside of the machine by the water and float level and raise the float when connected to the magnet and the light will stop flashing red rapidly

In addition to this comment, If you have lost the tiny circular magnet from inside the centre of the black float in your tassimo machin tank, this will cause the same red light fault. We found our magnet stuck to a fork! Nearly through the machine away too! Thanks for the above post :-)

What do the green and orange lights mean when they are shown on a Rancilio coffee machine. Is the orange an indicator that the water is heating?

On Rancilio coffee machines, the meaning of the green and orange lights can vary depending on the specific model and configuration of the machine. However, in many Rancilio espresso machines, the lights are used to indicate certain states of the machine during operation. Here are some common interpretations for the green and orange lights:
  1. Green Light: The green light on a Rancilio coffee machine typically indicates that the machine is powered on and ready for operation. When you turn on the machine, the green light should illuminate to show that it has power.
  2. Orange Light: The orange light often indicates that the machine is in the process of heating water to the optimal brewing temperature. Once the water reaches the correct temperature, the orange light may turn off, and the machine is ready for brewing.
  3. Blinking Orange Light: A blinking or flashing orange light might signify that the machine is in a heating phase, and the water is being heated to reach the appropriate temperature. This is common during the initial warm-up or after the machine has been idle for a while.
  4. Red Light: Some Rancilio machines might use a red light to indicate specific alerts or warnings, such as low water level, need for maintenance, or other issues

What can I do to have the Ready to Brew light come on? I tried to slowly pour in water and fill water tank but doesnt work.

Be sure spray disk and brew gasket are properly installed in the
brew head.

Be sure the water supply is properly connected and the water
supply valve is turned
ON

Be sure the WATER TANK IS FILLED
BEFORE plugging the brewer into a receptacle, or otherwise
connecting brewer to electrical power
THE WATER TANK MUST BE FILLED

Place an empty decanter under the brew head. Lift
the pour-over cover then pour warm tap water into the pour-over
opening until water flows from the brew head. When water stops
dripping from the brew head, empty the container.

Once the tank is full of water,
connect the brewer to electrical
power. The heating elements will begin heating the water in the
tank.
When the water has reached the proper temperature, the
"READY To BREW" light will glow. http://www.cdccoffee.com/pdf/bloomfield-8571-8572-user-manual.pdf

You could be correct in your assessment and if so, as long as the device is under warranty it needs to go back for servicing. If you open the chambers, the warranty is Void and the device a boat anchor.

Red light won't stop flashing. Parts are in place

Be sure all coffee grounds are cleaned from beneath the water tray and the grounds tray and the coffee brew group. We had the same problem but finally redid everything, including cleaning the coffee brew group under hot water, drying and replacing carefully until it clicked in place. The moving parts of brew group have to be in exactly the right place. Good luck!

How do we insert the coffee pods

Open the brew mechanism. Opening the brew
mechanism will initiate the heating of the water and the
HEATING light will flash.
2 Place a clean cup on the cup stand, adjusting the height of the
stand up or down so that the rim of the cup is close to the
brew mechanism.
• To adjust the cup stand, insert your finger in the center
of the stand, lift and turn.
• To avoid spilling over, please choose the right sized cup for
the drink you are making.
3 Position your choice of T-DISC on the T-DISC holder, label facing
down. Firmly close the brew mechanism by pressing the clamp
down until it shuts. The HEATING light may flash again as the
machine heats the water to the required temperature for
your drink.
4 When the AUTO light illuminates, press and release the start/stop
button. Brewing will start automatically. There may be a short pause
during brewing; this is normal and is designed to draw out the full flavor
of your drink. The AUTO light flashes throughout the brew cycle. When
the machine has finished brewing, the indicator light will move from
AUTO to MANUAL and then, after a delay of 30 seconds, to HEATING.
5 Open the brew mechanism, remove the T-DISC and discard.
Your drink is now ready to be enjoyed.
You can prepare the next beverage right away by repeating
steps 2 - 5.

Tassimo Coffee Maker: Tell me how to operate it. I can fill the water, put the pod in and all the lights keep flashing. Pressing the start/stop button does nothing.

• All lights will blink the first time you turn on your
machine. This is your cue to prepare your machine for use by
following the quick instructions in Step 1 on separate insert.
• If the water level runs low while you are preparing a
beverage, all lights will flash. Simply remove and refill the
water container, and brewing will continue automatically
where it left off. It should not be necessary to discard the T-DISC
and start over.
• The AUTO light will blink throughout the brewing process.
Some drinks require a pause in brewing as part of the recipe
for brewing your perfect cup - this is to allow the optimal flavors
to unfold and is a normal part of the brewing process. The AUTO
light will continue to blink throughout this process.

HOW TO MAKE A DRINK
• Place the mug of your choice on the cup stand.
• When the STANDBY light illuminates, insert the T-DISC® of your choice
and close the clamp.
• The HEATING light will blink as the brewer heats the water to the
optimal temperature for your drink.
• Once the proper temperature is reached, the AUTO light will
illuminate. When it lights up, press the start/stop button to begin
the brew cycle.
• The AUTO light will continue to flash throughout the brewing cycle.
PLEASE NOTE: Some beverages have a pause in brewing
after the initial influx of water into the T-DISC®.
• The MANUAL light will illuminate when your drink is ready.

I have a keurig b30 and has been working great but now it will not recognize any of my cups so the flashing blue light will not come on to start brewing? none of them are clear and have all worked in the...

I haven't solved the problem, but I continue to disassemble my K30. Most likely points of failure for the blue start light not coming on appear to be a sensor to detect the cup is in place (two small holes on the left/right front edge of the cup holder) or a sensor in the resovoir lid where the blue pin presses on a pressure switch. I did find that the red wire to this switch gets caught in the lid hinge and may be damaged. I will post more if I finally discover the root cause but may just go to Bed Bath & Beyond and buy the resovoir model with a 2 year warranty. Lesson learned. Cheap switches and mechanical devices.

Bunn CWTF15-APS Unable to hold 195 at the brew head

Yes it is possible to go the the next larger element.
Yes if the machine was plumbed there would be a difference in the way it brewed the water temp. if you look at the end hose in the pan from the solenoid, it takes a while for it to pour out 3liters.
Try using a different sprayhead(if yo;u are using a 6 hole try getting a 5 hole. That will constrain the flow of water a little more allowing the element more time the heat the water.

Mine sometimes does this but cleaning the barcode reader at the top of the machine (small glass panel) fixed it. Also make sure the water container is seated correctly. If these dont fix it try pushing the water container left right/back front while there is a disc in the machine-mine has started to only work if I push the fitted water container backwards when "brewing".Its out of warranty now so I will make do until it breaks completely.
