Maytag Neptune won't drain

Hello, The earlier Maytag Neptune front loaders have a balance ring on the inner tub that has liquid in it and that causes the sloshing sound when you turn the tub by hand. That is normal.

I noticed that you have a MAH3000... Have you replaced your door latch wax motor yet? If not, it will fail and damage your control board located behind the timer. See NeptuneHelpSong for a video that explains the failure.

Remove the back access panel. On the bottom of the tub you will see the drain boot. Remove the boot from the tub and check for any blockage. Also, while you have the boot removed, check up in the tub for any small pieces of clothing that may be hung up in there.

There is a coin trap in the pump most likely is pluged // u have one machine that is very hard to write down how to take apart as you have to remove the door lift top remove front panal .. pump is on the lower right ..I would leave that one to a pro if you never done one before......good luck

Possible Tub Seal leak, leak from Outer Tub, Sump Cap, Drain Pump, Drain Line.

You need to pull the front cover off the machine and ID the leak source. If there wash water over the Clutch Pulley I would suspect a Tub Seal issue.

If your washer does not drain you need to check this parts.

1. Inspect the drain hose for kinks
2. Test the timer control
3. Test the lid switch(some models)
4. Inspect the water pump
5. Inspect the drive belt(belt drive only)
6. Inspect the motor coupler

If the drain hose reaches more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut off the excess. If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly.

pump is probably clogged not allowing all water to drain out. Should never see water in the tub at the end of a cycle. About once a month you should run your washer through a cycle with hot water and bleach. Doing that should keep the moldy smell down.

use rv antifreeze $2.00 a gallon no more chance of freezing. flush it out 2 times to stop stains and spots.

You will have to clean up drain system in washer. Get the rug pars out. A wet vac is a useful tool here.

Remove and clean the drain pump.
