For posted speed limits, street names, etc, corrections can be made using the map corrections tab. For correcting a home address, I do not know. In fact, I have the same problem, i.e., an incorrect or unrecognized home address was enterred that I need to correct.

2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. It moves when in reverse and low gear. But when it's in drive it just revs up but doesn't move. However, I'm not getting any transmission codes.

Thanks for the information about checking transmission fluid. Unfortunately we don't get Notifications when they are made up there.

I was hoping that @Jeff Armer would take the question. He is a full time auto electronics tech and just the person you need. I am guessing he didn't get a notification either.

The image is difficult to read even zooming in on my computer, but you have multiple communications and voltage errors and guessing the problem one is to the Body Control Module, but you have multiple errors. That means when the computers tell the transmission solenoids to move it doesn't happen. An auto electrician with a professional grade bi-directional scan tool computer can command transmission solenoids to operate and verify that they did. That would be the starting point. This is not something you can fix yourself and Jeff seldom says 'take it to a transmission shop', note that this is not a normal garage, but a place that only does transmissions.

Husqvarna Chainsaw 372xp idles but won't rev up. New carburetor, fuel filter and spark plug. Acts like it's flooding. Any suggestions?

Carburettor will probably need tuning, often there are three screws; one is a throttle stop screw to adjust the idle speed and two to control the fuel, one for low speed and one for high speed. Successful adjustment takes time and requires much patience as adjustment of each screw affects the other to some extent.

It isn't usual with small high speed engines but it is worth checking the exhaust is not strangled.

My 2003 lincoln LS v8 is showing codes p1714 p1715 and p1270. What are those and how do I fix it?

P1270 - Engine RPM/Vehicle Speed Limiter Indicates the vehicle has been operated in a manner, which caused the engine or vehicle to exceed a calibration limit. The engine rpm and vehicle speed are continuously monitored and evaluated by the PCM. The DTC is set when the rpm or vehicle speed falls out of a calibrated range. For additional information on the engine rpm/vehicle speed limiter, refer to Section 1, Electronic Engine Control (EC) System , Powertrain Control Software.
  • Wheel slippage (water, ice, mud and snow)
  • Excessive engine rpm in Neutral or operated in the wrong transmission gear
  • Vehicle driven at a high rate of speed
The DTC indicates the vehicle has been operated in a manner, which caused the engine or vehicle speed to exceed a calibrated limit

High temp limit opens causing furnace to short-cycle

An adjustable high temp limit up to 215°f is acceptable in some installations. Your service tech should take a temp rise measurement. All furnaces have data, and are different per unit. That data should give a temp rise number. As if the air entering is 75°f and the air leaving is 150°f, rise is 75. This will indicate an air restriction in the furnace or poor air flow if the rise is excessive per manufacturer's specs. I've seen the insulation inside the supply air plenum come loose and block the ductworks openings, which will act as a restriction and cause the unit to overheat. A slow blower due to dirty blower wheel, damaged windings, wrong speed, weak capacitor, low voltage, or wrong motor will all cause low airflow, and will overheat. Dirty or compacted evaporator coil also. A cracked heat exchanger anywhere near the high temp limit will be a bit hard to find/detect will certainly cause the limit to open. If this unit is having an overheating issue, it's certainty an issue you may want to call in a professional to help with. Try operating the heat in medium speed at the blower. If it's tripping within a minute or less, it may indicate a heat exchanger issue. If it takes a while, 2-5 mins, then I'd suspect an airflow issue. Hope this helps you!

Radiator fan runs at high speed all the time wont slow down. 2004 limited V8

If your thermostat is bad, it will cause the ecu to keep the fan running at high speed since the engine is remaining hot from limited coolant flow. Have the thermostat checked and changed if it has never yet been replaced.

How to get AMD athlon 3700 socket 754 engineering sample cpu run at proper speed

Here's a little history

Some systems have "bottlenecks," where small overclocking of a component can help realize the full potential of another component to a greater percentage than the limiting hardware is overclocked. For instance, many motherboards with AMD Athlon 64 processors limit the speed of four units of RAM to 333 MHz. However, the memory speed is computed by dividing the processor speed (which is a base number times a CPU multiplier, for instance 1.8 GHz is most likely 9x200 MHz) by a fixed integer such that, at stock speeds, the RAM would run at a clock rate near 333 MHz. Manipulating elements of how the processor speed is set (usually lowering the multiplier), one can often overclock the processor a small amount, around 100-200 MHz (less than 10%), and gain a RAM clock rate of 400 MHz (20% increase), releasing the full potential of the RAM.

AMD also produced x86 designs which competed with Intel on performance rather than price. In January 2002 the Pentium 4 gained a lead in sales and AMD marketing responded by giving their processors numeric suffixes approximating the clock rate that an AMD Thunderbird (and by inference a Pentium processor) would need to give matching performance, openly undermining the "megahertz myth".
