My G1 is force closing on freshfaces after recent software update. Keeps locking up, not allowing the FreshFace application to start. Any way of reseting or uninstalling it without having to reset the entire phone?

Why does my asrus keep force closing evev when i read my emails or whatever

The computer or an application? If it is an application, you should run an antivirus scan. Also, make sure you have updated Windows and your drivers by running Windows Update and going to Asus' website to download drivers. You may need to wipe the disk and reinstall Windows, if nothing else works. If all else fails, contact Asus customer service as you may have a faulty piece of hardware in your computer.

I try accessing the Market on the G1 and gives me a force close notification. It shows this - sorry! The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. This has been going on...

well obviously the market app wont work until you have an active wireless connection. But it also sounds like the market app is corrupted. Connect your g1 to a wireless network with internet access and then go into settings and tell it to search for updates. That might fix it

G1 isnt deleting text messages

This problem had been bugging me for over a month now so I decided to just try and wait it out. First I deleted all the threads individually that the phone would allow me to so that just left me with 3 big threads, one that had 1300 messages and 2 that had about 650 each. I went into each thread and hit delete and when the "force close or wait" message popped up I hit "wait". Then it came up again about 5 minutes later so I hit "wait" again. I kept hitting "wait" each time and the thread eventually deleted. The ones with 650 took about 10 minutes of waiting to finally get deleted, the one with 1300 took about 20 mins but eventually they were all gone and now my phone is running much more smoothly. So just wait it out. Its annoying but worth it in the end.

G1 always displaying a force close message

Try downloading Txtract from the G1 Market. It's listed under "tools". Use this application to save the text messages you've been hoarding to your SD card, then delete the text messages from your phone. Your G1 will work like new again!
