Hello
Head of to the Acer website.Put in your model and serial # of your laptop. Find and download the cd or dvd drivers and install them on your laptop.
Also have you done the windows updates? Usually this will solve the problem.
what is your operating system. Did you install the operating system. go to the control panel then add hardware click, click next you can find your dvd , select it and install it.
ok..... firstly check to make sure the "NUM LOCK" is off!!! if no joy
get a usb keyboard and restart the pc with keyboard plugged in,
hopefully if the usb controllers are enabled in the bios you will be
able use the usb keyboard and enter your password, use it until you
resolve the issue
Nifty little IDE to laptop ide adapters on ebay for under $10 delivered.. remove laptop HD.. use adapter, plug into desktop as second drive. Load up XP install to a folder.. use a decent file copier so you get hidden files. try filesync 2.xx (look for it), Back into the laptop, try it..
Only other thing would be LEGACY USB SUPPORT in the bios and an external usb drive... Hopefully your usb problem is XP related and not hardware related..
