My magicolor 2350 has cyan print problem

My magicolor 2350 has suddenly developed a problem printing cyan. Cyan will not print at all unless it is called for at 100% intensity. All the other colors print normally. The side color registration page looks fine except for the cyan row, which is blank except for the right-most square, which printed perfect cyan. Supplies status say all 4 toners are 98% remaining, drum unit is also 98% remaining. Any ideas why the cyan is not printing?

When you print stop the printer half way through then check the image on the opc drum and transfer belt to see if it's complete or not, also you may want to check the aidc sensor (sometimes the cable comes loose). I can e mail you the 2300 series service manual (4.17mb) if you reply with your e mail address

SOURCE: hp 4600 no cyan printing

Firstoff, if you have tray 1 set to "any size" & "any type" they had problems with it going into calibration to frequently. If you upgrade the firmware this will take care of that. As for no Cyan, check the scanner interlock to insure it is opening the scanner cover. You could also go into diagnostics and disable cartridge check and swap the cartridges around, ie. cyan & magenta, run the print quality pages and see if the problem follows the cartridge. It could also be HV power supply.

SOURCE: Error flashing, Status 'Put Cyan Toner' - but toner showing 100%

Order a new "Button", the small part that has 3 contacts that touch each cartridge as they rotate by. It is a small black switch that can be easily accessed by removing all cartridges. It pops out easily, be carefuld not to damage the wires that attach to it. You may find the part at: https://www.nationalparts.com/store/cart/purchase1.asp?pid=6984&XPR=0666058409690586098F076D0B0666058409690589098C076B0B

There is a min. $15.00 charge, so buy 3 of them at $5.00 each, plus shipping, you will spend $28.22 (ground shipping). Works for me!

I think someone touched on this solution briefly, but here is how you fix the problem.

Clean the 3 copper contacts on on the green chip with an eraser or rubbing alcohol. The chip is on the right side of the cartridge. You will probably see black lines on the contacts. This will fix the issue about 90% of the time.
If it doesn't work you want to clean the chip reader. This is the switch that CCSStech was talking about. It also sits on the right side of the printer almost under the toner cartridges and has three prongs sticking up. Clean those prongs with alcohol. If that doesn't work replace the switch. If you are using refilled cartridges, the chip on those sometimes doesn't work. In that case have the manufacture of the refill replace the toner for you.

SOURCE: 2605dn says "replace supplies" points to black

You might have an issue with the cartridge lockers. Be sure to clean cartridge contacts and HV pins in printer. Doesn't help? Do like this. In the printers menu, under system set up, then print quality, then replace supplies there you can choose override out. Print a status page and check status for the cartridges, if the printer don't prints in override mode you have a brooken cartidge locker. In that case, remove all toner cartridges and check the lockers by moving cartridgedoor in and out, do all works the same way or is any of them different?

My konica minolta magicolor 7450 is low on C cartridge, is there a way to disable that one cartridge and continue printing with the rest. i just need b/w text printed.

Hello,

No, you can't disable the cyan or other color. The printer is build to work with all 4 cartridges. If one of them is empty you can't print. The solution in this case is to reset or change the cyan chip.

Instead of Bule print DC12 prints Violet

Hi there! The blue color is becoming violet because the Cyan and the Magenta toners are not getting mixed in the proper 100:100 ratio (100% Magenta and 100% Cyan make CMYK Blue). Since the print is violet, the culprit is the Cyan toner. Now, first, get the Cyan Developer Assy checked if there is enough developer in it. If no, get it refilled by a proper tech and manually mix about 50 grams of the Cyan Toner with the developer. Also get the tech to check the trimmer gap on the Developer Assy with a metering gauge. If yes, next check the Cyan dispenser motor located on the backside of the Toner Housing Assy. It is probably broken and not dispensing any toner to the Cyan Developer Assy . Additionally, check for the Cyan Dispenser Auger blockage or jam. It is located under the Cyan Toner Cartridge in the Toner Housing Assy and also check the auger under the Cyan Developer Assy. After sorting these out, you should get proper CMYK blue from the 10th or 12th page once you resume printing.Let me know. Regards

make sure your cartridge is not stuck and pushed in all the way in printer. If it gets struck it will dump ink out and waste it.

Yellow not printing - but only in streaks

Your yellow problem sounds like a bad yellow developer housing. Take the drum out and look at the developer housing, You will need a flash light to do so. See if the roller is solid yellow. Even if it is there may not be any developer left in the housing.
The Cyan sounds like the drum since it gets worse as it prints.
That can also be caused by the transfer belt cleaner. But that normally is the opposite. It has a rainbow sort of streak and it gets better as the machine runs.

Printer shows no errors

Is that problem just for that color black? sounds like you might have a bad image unit or developer. You can start out by switching the image units.. switch the Cyan image unit to the Black and the Black back to the Cyan. Print out a solid color page on the trouble shooting menu. If the Cyan prints out bad you have a bad image unit . If Black still comes out splattered then it might be the developer. We always call this company called www.Iteminc.com for support and parts instead of xerox. They have good techninicians. Almost all my answer have come from here. well good luck

Question about mc 2350 cartridge

I just got done replacing my toner.  You'll need to change toner and most likely all of them. There is no other solution.  I refill mine by buying the bottle toners.  It can be messy and you'll need to take some parts off the cartridge to get to the opening plug and reset the lever so that the printer knows the cartridge is full.  It is cheaper than buying a toner. The cartridge has a life of about three refills.  Anyway hope this answers your problem.
