the motherboard was made in 2006 anything older than 5 years might not support windows 7 also windows 7 must have a minimum of 2 GB of ram
hope this helps
the audio for asus p5pe is soundmax ad1888 as of now there no driver that supports win7 you'll just have to wait until the product manufacturer releases a driver that will support win7
asus p5pe vm has drivers which windows 7 supports. only the video driver is not supported if you have a video card like nvidia fx 5500 and also the sound driver you can download it in realtek. it supports windows 7 and vista
Unfortunately, you are taking a chance installing windows 7 at this point, there is no support yet, and drivers may or may not work- no guarantees. I suggest that anyone trying windows 7 experiment on another partition first to test it out.
If Asus does not have them I can't think of anywhere else that would. Go to Asus.com/support.
Search the site for your motherboard and operating system. Download it and try again
It will come up with a seperate window that will ask you the OS that your installing and windows 7 is not an option which tells me that drivers aren't available for your motherboard just yet, it may down the line once windows 7 becomes publicly available.
There is likely a reason that you are re-installing a OS.
Your HD is Dead.
You should buy a new Hard Drive and install the OS on that.
Another option would be ,.. you have other OS's that were not properly installed and the hard drive is telling you that there is a prob like a F6 driver issue.
Depends on what OS was installed on it to begin with.
YOUR MODEL NUMBER IS INCORRET PLEASE VERIFIE THE MODEL NUMBER THANKS
