Test both machines one at a time on the monitor without the kvm switch then hook up the kvm switch to machine A if all works well power off then hook up machine B and see what happens, it maybe that the switch is set to the other pc than the one you want to use first so the screen stays black untill its switched over

P4P800 SE not bootable on sata

Hello download the manual here:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_478/P4P800_SE/#download

Please select your windows system

Open the manual folder and click on global for download

Unzip the file and you need adobe reader to read the content

Take a look in the BIOS and under advanced you should be able to see the motherboard settings for the drives. Make sure that the board is set to use ENHANCED settings and not LEGACY, then go to the BOOT section and make sure the SATA drive is the first drive.

Good luck

I'm trying to boot to USB from my P4P800 SE. The problem seems to be that I have to enable some type of emulation in the BIOS. Is there any way around this?

some bios are able to boot with the (f12) key and then you pick which device you wish to boot with otherwise you must enter the bios and set the first boot device to boot your usb

Does ASUS P4P800 deluxe support high density memories

Here is a link to Asus' Qualified Vendor List of RAM modules for your motherboard. I do not see it mention high density RAM. You would need to search the specs on the modules recommended to be sure.

ASUS QVL

In case you don't have the manual, here is a link for it too:

ASUS P4P800 Deluxe Manual

Memory info begins on Page 2-10. Again, there is no mantion of HD modules.
