Have you installed a scanner/another external USB drive since first trying your Flash drive? If so, try unplugging that and re-insert your Flash drive. I had this problem and a friend suggested this and it worked!

How do i use my pny 8gb flash drive

You plug it in to a USB port on your PC. It may need to be partitioned and formatted. For example, if it is formatted for a Mac, if will need to be repatirioned to work on a PC. It all depends on what kind of device you are trying to plug it in to.

Verbatim store n go usb flash drive 8 gb device not recognized

My Verbatim Sto N Go 8GB USB Flash Drive does not work in any port, in any computer. When I plug it in, the "Device is not recognized" error comes up. When I click on it, and the Unknown Device Properties comes up, the device status reads: "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer."

The driver details read:
Provider: Advanced Micro Devices
File Version: 1.0.11.82 built by: WinDDK
Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility

This is the 2nd drive of this same brand that quit working within 6 months. I have MONTHS of work on files in this drive, and would hate to have to redo all that work! I was real careful after the first one went bad to use the eject button when removing it from my computer. But I am thinking the last time I clicked the eject button, it froze, so I just pulled it out without the message coming up. Hopefully there is someway to get the computer to recognize this drive again???

Pny 2gb not recognized by windows vista

Try connecting it some other computers.
If it does not work at all, spend $8 to replace it.
If it does work, then it's either the "hardware" on your computer, or the Vista "software" (wrong/missing USB device-drivers).

Usb device installed but does not show up in my

First, try it in a different USB port on your computer.

Connect it to a different computer.
If it is still _not_ recognized, then it is "dead".
If it is recognized, then it's your computer that has the problem.

NEED DRIVER FOR PNY 8GB USB ATTACHE

If you're using the drive on a PC with Windows XP or Windows Vista, you don't need a driver - just plug it into the PC and Windows will recognize it and install USB drivers automatically.

8gb PNY micro sd card isn't recognized in my samsung Alias

If the phone failed to format the SD card, try to format it through your computer. Connect the phone through the USB port located at the back of the tower. You'll be prompted that the PC detected 2 USB drives, the phone and the SD card. You will see it by going to My Computer folder. From there, right click the Letter drive represents the SD drive then select Format. I hope this helps.
